Dang, that is cheap!! What's the weather like that time of year?? And I think I asked you this before, but is Carnival more of a party ship? I mean, do you see many kids on board?
That price is so cheap, I'm almost considering doing a test run on a cheap 3 or 4 day cruise just to see how my kids react to it and being on the water. I don't want to fork out big bucks for an Alaskan cruise only to have everyone end up with horrible motion sickness.

That water ride sounds scary! :scared1:

I looked up Catalina and Ensenada and both look like mid 60's for December. I've seen families every time I've cruised but there were more when we went in July than May or June. Not sure how December will be. Maybe more families if kids are out for Christmas break. Carnival has lots of activites for kids and it always looks like the kids are having a blast. I've found Carnival to be the cheapest way to cruise and we have always had a good time. The people are nice, the food is good, the shows are good. The carnival website has alot of infor on prices and iteneraries and pictures of the ships. It's neat to look at.

Yes, it was scary! The pool you land in is like 7 feet deep. I didn't hit the bottom but it took me forever to get back to the surface and you feel so turned around after you hit the water I wasn't sure which way was up, plus I'm not a very good swimmer. And I was trying to make sure my top was still on right before I came up out of the water. :rotfl: I like the slides with the tubes better but I wanted try try everything.

DH just gave her the second dose of pedialyte and she hasn't thrown up since 11 so hopefully we can keep her going for a while without throwing up. I guess the diaper situation is a little nasty though...sorry if that is TMI!

Sarah

P.S. thanks to everyone for their tips and support! Being away from her when she is ill is hard so it is great to be able to come here and get support from all you!

OK, my turn to play doctor!!! (I fee so dirty :lmao:)

Anyway, my two cents. Sarah, if you haven't done it yet, tell DH not to give her anymore juice. Many juices contain high levels of Sorbitol, a form of sugar we can not digest. Sorbitol causes diarrhea, in fact that's how prune juice works! When I give my boys juice on the rare occasions they get it, they only get white grape juice. It does not contain sorbitol, and many docs are recommending it as a 'first juice' now compared to apple.

I'm glad she's getting better!

Hi everyone!!! I'm excited about MA, and the free room! I've never won anything. :cool1:

LOL!!! Thanks for the tip on the juice. I will be sure to tell dh that when I call him next! I did not know that about juice but I will sure remember it! Do you know if pedialyte is the best choice for her situation? I don't know much about it but it sounds like it would help.

Pedialyte is a great choice if you can get her to drink it. My boys wouldn't drink it, so straight water was it for them when they were sick. They've never really had many flavored drinks though.

Also, white grape juice (juicy juice makes a 100% white grape juice) should be ok because it doesn't contain sorbitol. I'd check with the doc though, some docs are very anti juice of any kind while a child is sick because it can dehydrate them more.

Deep breath Momma! Your little bear will be feeling better soon.

Hey Girls! I am SO excited! I just booked the GCH for our October family trip!:cool1: The good AP rates were extended so we got it for $237 a night. Still alot of $$, but it has been years since we stayed there last and I REALLY want to go and relax and enjoy. So, I splurged!:thumbsup2 AND we will be there on Halloween night!:)
Good for you Becci!! That is exciting!! And heck, you work so hard you deserve a splurge. Being there on Halloween night sounds like fun too.
Good luck to you with Rich gone. Glad to hear you'll have some help.

It is so hard being away from our kids when they are sick. But I'm sure daddy is doing just fine. As for the diaper situation, well, that's when the BRAT diet comes in handy, once she's eating again that is. lol

Thanks for all the info. I just told Ruben about the price you paid and he agreed what a great deal that was! So tempting. I'm going to take a peek at the Carnival website later on just for fun.

I'd never try that water slide. I'd probably drown since I can't swim. :scared1: :rotfl2:

That is so great. I'm thrilled for you two. Disneyland at Christmas is so pretty. Almost as nice as Halloween. ;)

Same here. Water mainly when they were sick. But the didn't have those ped pops like they do now for my kids. They might have liked those.

Hi everyone!

Back from D23!!:dance3:

I have only been able to read back a little but I wanted to stop by and say that I HAD THE BEST TIME AT D23!!! I loved every minute of it (but I can be a bit excitable at times;) ) It was just so much fun! :cool1: I know that you all have already heard all of the announcements and who we saw...Johnny Depp! Screamed like a teenager! :scared1:

When Mr. CA arrived Friday night I was talking non-stop, he was laughing at me all night! :rotfl: I was there from the opening minute to the very last moment last night. They showed Toy Story and Toy Story 2 in 3-D last night and they also had the director and producer of Toy Story 3 talk to us and they showed us never before released footage of the film. All I'll say is Andy is going to college and what to do with the toys??? :rolleyes1 It’s going to be great!

We signed up the family for the holiday MouseAdventures, we are officially the Flying Dumbos…lol! I think it will be a lot of fun!

One of the hightlights, besides seeing Johnny of course, was spending time with some wonderful, fabulous, did I say wonderful Divas Friday night! Loved meeting Tracy and celebrating her birthday on Wed. She is such a sweetheart! Had a great time with Donna...we work well together...I don't mind standing in lines and she doesn't mind shopping.

It was all so much fun and I am still a bit hyped but EXHAUSTED! Mr. CA left this morning on a business trip and won’t be back for 1.5 weeks so I plan to catch up on everything and get some sleep!

I hope everyone has had a good weekend and a good start to their week.

And I’ll be going back to DL on Sat. for the Miss Sarah meet! Wow…I am kind of embarrassed to say this but I’ve been to DL 4 out of the last 5 weekends.

My sister thinks I need an intervention but what does she know, right? :upsidedow

Vicki - so glad you had such a fantastic time! And as far as the intervention, if she doesn't get it maybe she needs one! I can't wait to see you Saturday! There should be 13 of us I think (zoemakes5, chand309, CaliforniaDreamer, LuluBelle, LuluBellesDD, MamaKate (plus baby), CoMickey, toocherie, fairykin, cristabel, lisadoll93, and me!) I am so excited to see everyone...some for the first time! I really hope I am not catching what my dd has right now. My tummy does not feel good. I will be one po'd lady if my family is sick while at disneyland. I have worked way too hard and waited way too long for this trip and to spend some good quality time with my little ones and dh to have it ruined by puke!

Sarah

Sounds like you had a great time Vicki!

On another note, I was saddened to see this: Patrick Swayze dies at 57

I enjoyed many of his movies, and even watched a MASH episode with him last night. His family will be in my prayers.

Don't be embarrassed and no intervention needed! I'm glad to hear you had so much fun. We do have a wonderful group of Divas here, and it's cool so many of you were able to get together.

Lucky gals!!! I'm so jealous. Someone better take some pics to share with the rest of us. :teeth:
And NO, you are not getting sick understand me??? It's only nerves. You will be fine.

I just heard Patrick Swayze died. So sad.
I just read that too. :guilty: It is sad. I'm so sick of cancer taking the lives of so many, both celebs and non-celebs. Too many are passing and I hate it. :sad2:

I wish I could be meeting up with you ladies this weekend. UGH! Why does life have to get in the way of my Disney time?

I wish you could be there with us! We'll take lots of pictures and you can all pretend you were there with us!

Does anyone know if the French Market has a french dip and a pulled pork sandwich? On one of the menus I saw these and another one it wasn't on so I am currious as to which one is right because if they don't have those we won't be going to that restaurant.

TIA,
Sarah

Evening ladies!!

Just wanted to say that I had a wonderful time Friday night with the birthday party Divas. I had so much fun, and we all had a really nice visit. There were only 7 of us, so we got alot of yacking in............

Vicki, it was wonderful to finally meet you. Stacerita/Stacie, I am so sorry that you couldn't make it. I missed your humor!!!:goodvibes I got to meet Cheryl's good friend Brandy. That woman has no fear. Yikes................she is a pilot who will fly anything she can get her hands on. BIG jets too!! :scared1:
(I don't even like to fly.) Anyways our food was delish and we all shared 2 bottles of Magicale!! :thumbsup2:upsidedow

Sarah, I hope your baby is better by now!!:flower3:

Beth, Shame on you!! You do a big part for us!! As you know..........I could never keep this site up!! :rolleyes1:laughing: But I also understand your desire to see Alaska. So, just do a baby DL trip with us in 2011. Now isn't that a fantastic idea!?!?

Sarah/MotoPrincess, Wow.........what a deal for a cruise. Good for you!!!

So sad about Parrick Swayze. I loved him in the mini series "The North and the South."

Stacie and Heather!! SCORE!!!! Congrats on your hotel stay!! :woohoo:

I'd loved to do the mini Mouse Adventure too, but I will be there the week before with my family for the Candlelight Processional, and there is absolutely no way I can come back again. All those involved, I wish you good luck!!!

I just heard Patrick Swayze died. So sad.

Very sad :(

Idk. Really, Stacie I think you would know better than to have a life :lmao: jk

Yeah, look at me, I don't have a life...however I am chained to my desk at work so I don't even have the chance to have a life, but that's a different story! I have been here for 14 hours and still have another 2 to go. I want to go home. Come on two hours, get some wings and fly!

Later Divas,
Sarah

The one without the sandwich is right. This is what the menu was last time we were there. http://allears.net/dlr/din/menu/men_fren.htm
I had the pasta and it was really good.

Hey, guess what?? Shirley has decided to join us on this trip!! :yay: She's going to room with me. I added her name and pic to the front.

For those of you who are reading this and wondering what I am talking about, Shirley is a friend that Sarah, January and myself all met in 2006 on the WDW trip. She is a super sweet lady and I'm really glad she'll be coming along.
Hopefully she will be posting here on this thread soon. :)

Night ladies. I'm so tired. Anyone feel like there just aren't enough hours in the day sometimes?!?!
Sweet dreams. :cloud9:

I'm not sure. She cannot decide. Most likely not, so it will just be myself and Shirley in a room. But if my aunt does come, we'll just get a roll away and have three to the room. I doubt it though. :confused3

Sounds like a plan!
