Also do you think it is possible she could get a guest pass for the day to park at Hojo since we don't have a car? Like maybe she could use our space since mom and I don't have a car for our room just for the day? Do they do stuff like that? I thought that would save her the parking fee.

Then I told her we could do a cheap counter service lunch and an inexpensive dinner as well. What do you think?

She said if the day would cost her several hundred it would be out of the question but do you think if she skips the character meal and parks at hojo that it would be fairly cheap for her if all she has to buy is a 1 day ticket and lunch and dinner?

Thanks for any help.
Hey Kelly. Not sure how much the breakfast buffet is. I'm thinking around $30 though. But I know you can also order off the menu there which would be cheaper.

I think the hunt starts at 10.
Not sure about a parking pass, maybe call the hotel.
There are a lot of nice counter service places where y'all could eat cheaply.
I think it can be done. :thumbsup2

OK, trying to play catch-up!! Heather, I'm so glad to hear about the co-pay, I'm sure that takes a load off your mind. Tell Nathan all these crazy ladies are wishing him Happy BirthDay!! And yes, I do have an Entertainment card. Dawn, have fun! Wish I was going, too!! Stacie, glad to hear the good report; I've had the mammo, ultrasound and MRI before. I almost hyper-ventilated in the MRI, even though my head wasn't really even in the tube. Hopefully I never have to go in the other way!!

I'm using Beth's image to say Happy Birthday to Nathan too! :cake: :bday:

Heather Happy Birthday to your little one and congrats on qualifying for the specialist and good luck!!

Ok question, I got an e-mail back from my friend and she wants to come on Saturday the 7th but her dh just got laid off so she was asking about money wise how much everything is going to cost.

First off how much does the character breakfast cost for those that know?

I told her since she is driving up that morning if it is too spendy she may want to skip that since it is so early as well and just meet us afterwards. Since we are doing the scavenger hunt what time do you think would be a safe time to tell her we'd be done with breakfast if she wants to skip the meal? Ideas?

Kelly, I'm going to use your friend as a 4th person your team. Is that OK?

Do you think the second showing in May will be at 10:30?

That would be too late to wait for my Mom. That is why I'm even considering it..............because of her.

She will probably be on a ECV scooter. So if we wait it out for the first show, do you know where they will put us?

I "think" there's a handicapped area--but you have to pre-reserve it and I don't know how. Maybe check with City Hall when we are on the ladies' trip?

Kelly: I can't imagine Hojo's wouldn't give her a parking pass for the day--after all, you're paying the same price as the rest of the people to stay there--I'm going to have a car on-site the whole time. I would just ask for a pass when you check in.

Good evening ladies!

I am in the middle of homework and I thought I would take a break and say hey!:wave2:

Heather...that is great news about your copay and that you don't have to come up with any extra moolah. AndHAPPY BIRTHDAY 2 NATHAN!!:cheer2::cool1:pixiedust:party:

I hope you all have a great night and I will try to peek in again.:)

Sorry, too lazy to multiquote tonight!

There is a handicapped seating area right near the Mark Twain dock. I used it once when I was in an ECV for my back. It is not the best view, but they did let my family and I right in just a bit befor the show started.
But we usually grab a table at the Riverbelle Terrace and play some cards and have some snacks to pass the time. They have never tried to kick us out for not eating a meal while sitting at the table.

Kelly, I believe the Storyteller's breakfast is around $22, plus tip. They give you a 90 minute limit in there. There are also tons of great counter service places in the park. It can be done on the cheap, for sure. Also, I can't imagine them not letting her park at Hojo's. Like Cheryl said, just get the pass when you check in. You jsut might need your friend's plate number.

Heather, good news on being able to get help for your birthday boy! We are self-employed and thus self-insured. I know how difficult it is to work with insurance companies and to get the care you need. So frustrating!

And to those of you going to DLR this weekend, I'm so jealous!!!!!!! But I hope you enjoy yourselves.:goodvibes

Nathan says thank you! :cool1:

Nolan's birthday is Sunday, we are having cake and presents tomorrow. I love 1st birthday cake memories. :goodvibes :joker:

Ty, Dave and I also send birthday wishes to Nathan! I am also so glad that your wish was answered Heather... that's great news!!!

It was a ridiculously busy day at work today and I am exhausted. THANK GOD tomorrow is Friday. Wish I was going to DL this weekend, but I do get to see Amy and Beth on Sunday, so it's almost as good. Now, if we could just decide where we're going to eat...

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I'm so excited to meet up with you two again.
Where are we eating btw?? :rotfl2:

Thanks so much everyone! I knew you guys would know the answers!! :)

And Mel thanks for adding her to the group for the hunt. I don't think she would even mind if she couldn't participate since she is kind of last minute I just didn't want her to feel left out since mom and I are doing it so she would obviously be hanging out with us but I didn't want everyone else feeling like we were cheating either cuz we had one extra person so she doesn't need to actually participate she can just go along for the ride. ;)

I am going to give her all this great info and she is going to make her final decision based on what her and her hubby decide now that he has been laid off and she will let me know shortly. I told her that she is already on the list for the character breakfast and is always easier to DROP someone then to add them so I think that otherwise we are good. We can just assume she is coming and then if she can't come then it shouldn't mess anything up hopefully.

She is a LOT of fun and very sweet so I think everyone will like her and she is a few years older than I am so right in our age group too.

Anyway, thanks everyone for accomodating her. They are really great people who supported Shane when he was in Iraq and they recently moved to the LA area and when I mentioned that mom and I were going to be down there I told her she should join us and she said she couldn't come for the whole time but maybe one day so hopefully it works out but if not I don't think it should mess anything up and as I said then mom and I will plan on eating at the Jazz Kitchen that night with whomever is eating there.

Anyway thanks again guys and I am off to watch Idol, CSI and Eleventh Hour! C YA!! ;)

Awww---post pictures! Especially if you give him his own cake and he totally makes a mess!! I love that!

Ok, girls, you know that scene from that play/movie with Audrey Hepburn (I am totally blanking on the name of it--it's where she starts out as a poor girl and turns into a princess-type--with Rex Harrison) anyway, at one point--he says "Why can't a woman be more like a man?" and then bursts into song?

Well, I'm turning it around--"why can't a MAN be more like a WOMAN??????"

Boys!!!!!!!!:crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

My Fair Lady.

And be careful what you ask for. I have a girly-man (and I am a manly-girl at times), and it gets OLD. Seriously, when you, the female, are trying to get the guy to stop crying....well, it just gets old.

He's a lot better ever since getting his blood sugar under control, but sometimes omg he's just so girlie...:sad2:

How about "My Fair Lady." :lmao:

I know that we all have our different beliefs, but I have to share this.

I have been stressing today over finding an extra $2000 to get Nathan officially evaluated with one of the top developmental peds in the country. I hae reworked my budget 4 times (including taking the trip out. :guilty: ) and the earliest I could come up with the extra money was April. :sad2:

The office just called, and our insurance will cover the appointment with my $30 copay. :cheer2:

I really feel like God has answered this prayer. I just need some answers, and need to talk to someone who has some.

Today is my little man's birthday. We sent a card into sprout, but did not see it this morning. I'm hoping it will be on tonight.

Talk with you all later! :wave2:

Heather
That is just awesome news Heather. Information is power:thumbsup2
Happy Birthday to your Nathan. By the way, my Nathan spells his name the same and I am bringing your Nathan a Buzz Lightyear Personalized hat, scarf and mitten set that my Nathan has outgrown.

We love sprout too, and I still make my six year old watch it and he still likes it:)

That is actually a good idea.:goodvibes My mom would probably love to just sit and people watch too. :cool2:

I was wondering if you, or any others here on our thread have ever heard about getting DL tickets for $29.00 for children with disabilities? I believe if you do qualify, you can have 6-8 per family? One of my really good friends just went to DL, and they only paid that amount.

I believe there is a catch though. You have to go certain times of the year, and once you order them, they have to be used by the time period allowed.

So has anybody heard of this? It's a wonderful deal if it could be worked out.

Never heard of it, and I would like to know. That is indeed an awesome deal, and quite frankly families with any special needs kiddos incure such an incredible amount of extra costs whether you are talking time off from work or hard costs. They deserve a break.

Hey, ladies!

I am about to go to bed. I have a headache induced by large amounts of homework.:sad2:

Or it could be all the dang sodie I had to drink today. I need help. My diet Coke addiction is getting worse. I can't help it! I love it!!

It gives me my mojo.::yes::

Molly, I am must say you had me cracking up about your hubby. Does he read the stuff here?

Oh and I forgot to say GOODNIGHT!!:wave2:

AYe! I am almost up to 10,000 posts!:faint:

I need to get out more.:rotfl:

:confused3 I thought that maybe I was just out of the loop :lmao: Seems like Amy is having a really busy week, but we'll get something figured out soon!
:rotfl: If you're out of the loop, then so am I.
I'll eat anywhere though. We had talked about Cheesecake Factory, but I'm game for whatever. :)
