Girls Only Disneyland Trip - Old Thread

OK - I have been lurking around this thread off and on for the past 9 months or so not thinking I would ever be able to pull off getting away for a weekend. Well last night I had a dream that I was on the DIS girls only trip! :lmao: I think that is a sign I should at least attempt to make this trip work!
So - is it to late to get in on this fun or do I need to wait until next year? Of course, I haven't run it by dh yet. But I should be able to convince him I need a break from him and the kids! :)
Should I pm someone in particular?

It's definitely not too late to join us! I "think" some of the events might be fully booked, but many things are not. It's alot of fun and with the large group of ladies, I think you'll find someone who likes just the same things you do.

Please remove me from the Seguay tour, I'm not going to be able to swing it this time.
And you can put me in any timeframe you want for the meal, as I'm not doing the VIP tour. I'd prefer the later, but am open to the earlier if it means people not getting in.

Count me in as a possible. I am still trying to crunch numbers.

I get to "claim" you, though! She's my friend first! Hee heee!!! I'm trying to convince her. Will even play with some flight info. Carrie, if anyone needs a break, it's you!

I'll call and try to reserve a table for around 4:30-5:00 p.m. for 2-3 people...

EDIT - Yahoo - I have a table for three people at 4:20!!!
Awesome!! That was fast and easy. I like that. ;) I'll add it to the list in a sec. I've got to get busy doing some things here.

Beth,

You can plug me into whichever slot makes sense for CC. Since I am coming solo, I'd hate to take a spot needed for groups to eat together. I am flexible!! And I'd love to park my butt and people watch with you!! I've never seen Fantasmic at DLR!
Cool! You will LOVE it!! :thumbsup2

Hi there!! We'd love to have you join us! Let me know if you have any questions! :)

Aw, I'm sorry Michelle. But I'll take you off. I'll add you in a sec too.

It's Ruben's birthday today so I'm off to get some dinner and then we're dong the cake and present thing with the kids. Plus we still have homework to work on.

I'll update more lists later tonight when I check back. See ya!

Heather, I'm sure I'll be doing MM on Saturday with you. I usually prefer Sunday MM's, but I've got the Segway tour that morning. How many days did you get on your parkhopper? I'm thinking I'll get the 4-day so I can go into the parks on Monday too.

You're so sweet to think of me. :flower3: I picked the early seating....is that good with you?

Perfect! I really have no preference, I just have to remember not to eat too much as the time gets closer.

Well, Callie was one who said she could eat at the earlier time, and so did Heather, so there ya go! LOL

I knew it would, it's fate!!

I could totally live on corndogs and Tink Twists.

Still haven't had a Tink Twist, maybe I'll try one this weekend.

I want to know if anyone else is planning on doing Magic Morning on Sat?

I hope Stacie and Callie weren't planning on sleeping in that day.....:rolleyes1

I can't do MM with an AP; and it's not like we're going to get to sleep in anyways

I'm planning on being in the park 5 days. For only a few bucks more, I went for it. I know we won't get in until late, and then the pizza party, but I'm thinking I might get an hour or two in at the parks. I'm soooo excited!

You are doing it right! Non-stop, every day. Excellent.

I just wish I could be there the whole time...I'd be right there with you.

Though I have to admit to being both jealous AND glad that I don't have access to MM for this trip. Gives me an extra minute or three to sleep in. But gosh you can get so much done in that hour!!!!

Thanks! It looks like I will be able to go! I am so excitied!!:cool1: Btw - I also have a son with ADD, and another one with autism. :)

Since I'm not going this year I haven't been keeping up with the thread. I did catch wind of a mini-meet?

My aunt, two cousins, and myself will be there on Monday! Now that my aunt has Deluxe AP (as do the girls) I don't have to drive!

Beth, since the VIP will be done by 3:30-4:00, I am flexible with dinner. Why don't you add me to whatever table you put Amy at... we can have some roommate bonding that way!

Oh, and count me in for F! on Saturday night. With the DVC tour on Friday I am not sure that I will get to watch it from the reserved seating that night, and as I have posted before, Dave is totally anti F! at DLR due to the lack of seating. Thus, I have only seen bits and pieces of the DLR F! and I am so excited to really watch it for once!

I can't wait to see F! at DLR. I love it at WDW. :lovestruc

I loved Tracey's idea about grabbing snacks beforehand also. That also helped me decide to eat at the earlier seating.

Molly, I'll try to go go go. I hope my poor body can handle it. :cool1: I only have a few days, I need to make the best of it. Sleep is overrated, (or at least I'm trying to convince myself of that!).

Yes, there is. This weekend, some of us are meeting up Saturday and/or Sunday. I don't know if anyone will be going on Monday, though.

You are both in for a treat. I LOVE :lovestruc the original DLR F! so much more than the WDW F!. There is no comparison!!!

Ladies I am HAPPY to announce that I will be joining you all on this trip! :cool1:
I am so excited I can barely contain myself! :yay: We go to DLR often, but going with a group of women who appreciate DL as much as myself sounds like a blast!
A little bit about myself: I am a very busy stay-at-home mom of four, including one with special needs. We live in Brentwood, CA (northern CA Bay Area).
Can't wait to get to know everyone!

Becci :wave2:

Welcome Becci!!!!

I am new to the trip this year myself, but I am so looking forward to meeting everyone and having a phenomenal time at DLR! My name is Jane and I am the mother of an active 16 month old little boy in addition to working full time as a college administrator. I also visit DLR pretty frequently (6 times or so a year for multiday trips), but this trip will be very different for me as I am used to spending lots of time in Fantasyland and doing character greetings--it will be nice to be a grown up while I am there in March!

Beth-I will wait with you at F! I have not been to the DL one since DH and I went to DL on our honeymoon 5 years ago. Maddie is afraid so we usually skip it. I can bring some dice and cards to pass the time.:goodvibes

Zoemakes3....so sorry to hear about your job. I hope something even better comes up for you.

Okay so I've talking to my friend (another Stephanie) about this trip for sometime now and today she says she's really considering going on the trip. I'm e-mailing her all of the details (hopefully it won't scare/overwhelm her) and she's going to let me know if she's in. I'll keep you all posted if she's coming. I'm hoping to get her to register on the board so she can talk to everyone prior to the trip.

Hi, Becci! Welcome to the thread! I don't post often, but I read most of it! There are a lot of great ladies on the thread and everyone is very welcoming.
