Girls Only Disneyland Trip!! Old thread. New link in first post

Am I the only one who watches the Biggest Loser? Last season I really didn't like it with Vicky the bee-otch, but normally (including this season) I find it so inspiring and uplifting. Those contestants come so far and really rock! And I love Jillian, I know she could whip my sorry butt into shape.

Oh man Cheryl that stinks that they are going to do it at DW instead of DL! Figures LOL. Oh well. I say we should plan our 2010 trip around Mousefest next year so we can all do that instead of a tour on one of the days. It sounds like a lot of us are interested and if you split the entry fee 4 ways it wouldn't be too bad. I know I LOVE those kinds of things and I think it would be a blast!!

I know I sure would be up for it! Would it be hard to plan cuz they don't say when it is too far in advance? I know it is usually in April isn't it? I think the fall one was in like October or something. But anyway just a suggestion but if not it would be fun even to plan to do it next time they have one and see if some of the gals wanted to get together and have teams even if not to do a ladies trip maybe just a side mini meet type thing just for mousefest.

Just an idea. I know I REALLY want to do it and was thinking about doing it with mom shane and possibly one of the kids but then it was like well what would I do with the OTHER two kids all day you know? But mom even suggested getting a couple other ladies together to do it so that is why I thought it might be fun to get a bunch of us together next time they have one when we know more in advance and do it. I think it would be fun!

That's why I am bummed that they may not be doing it this fall. That means we would have to wait till NEXT April . But it is something to think about like I said for possibly next year's trip?

Anyway I just got done watching idol and it is getting good! . Too tired to stay up and watch fringe and Idol is a 2 hour one tomorrow night so going to have to tivo Lost. Promise I won't spoil anything tomorrow cuz I have to tivo it myself . And hey survivor fans that starts on Thursday! And Amazing Race on Sunday! Whoo Hoo lot's of good reality tv!

Anyway I am beat. Two days of working out in a row and I can barely move LOL.

I love, love, love Top Chef. Who are you rooting for this season? I liked Jamie a lot, but since she's gone, I guess that my favorite would have to be Carla because she makes me laugh! I really don't want Stefan to win, but I think that he probably has a pretty good chance given the rest of the competition. Hosea is out of his league, and Leah seems lost most of the time... that just leaves Fabio and who knows, he just might win it all:confused

I am also a big fan of Project Runway. Does anyone watch it? Tim Gunn is just the cutest thing ever the way he bonds with the contestants and tries to be hip!

Queenbillabong..have you decided what the first thing you are going to do when you get to disneyland is? i'm trying to decide what my mom and i will do when we get there thursday afternoon.. i think i'm going to take her to white water snacks and we will have the beef nachos and that yummy little fruit tart.

I'm not sure - but I know I do get in pretty early on Monday. I'll be there by 10:00 a.m. (I have to leave for the airport at 5:00 ) I will definitely be going to get by birthday gift card and then I'll have to see what's happening. I want to take time to wander a bit this time, see what's what. I think I want to go to the Plaza Inn for dinner though (never been there for dinner!). WWS nachos are GOOD! We share one of those and a cup of fruit - yummo!

I know this has been asked before, but do our rooms at Hojo have the fridges? It's most pertinent to my Red Bull addiction.

Yay for fridges I like to keep lots of cold water for drinking and some snacks (like I need more food, but there you go......). So - how many Red Bulls for the answer sheet for the Scavenger Hunt again??? I need to know so I can pre-order

I do like Top Chef. But I only watch it on the weekends. They usually show it Sat or Sun mornings - like three or four back to back shows. The night time version is on too late for me. I go to bed at 10 pm and I think that is when it starts here.

I love Top Chef. Probably one of my top 3 favorite shows. I was rooting for Jamie, too, but now I think it would be fun if Fabio would win.
I also like Project Runway and Survivor, but I'm very excited about Amazing Race starting again on Sunday. My DVR is going to be working overtime!
Linda, I've never watched the Biggest Loser, but I've heard great things about it. I think it conflicts with something else I'm watching at that time.

Yes, Jane, I think Hosea should have gone weeks ago. He tries to be all inventive and it flops. And I like Carla, too. She's different and cool. Is Stefan the one from Europe (is it France?) - he's waaaaayyy too sure of himself.

Right now, as you're reading this, look at the bottom of my post. Over to the right...no, the other right. There ya go. There's the cutest little button that says "quote". Ignore that. If you click that, you just quote one person...clicking it makes the post go to the reply page, with the one person's post quoted. Now look further to the right than that...the little quotation mark button. That's it...now move your mouse so the cursor hovers over it....leave it...watch it...see? See how words popped up as you hovered the cursor there? It says "multi-quote this message".

So as you're reading along the 10 pages of posts that sometimes show up each hour, as you see something that you want to reply to, you click that cute little lone quotation mark, and it changes color (mine changes to orange-ish), and then you read more, and if you find other interesting posts, you click those, and so on. And when you're done reading, you click Reply, and then allllll those posts will come up with the appropriate person quoted! Very fun. Then you can cull down each quote to just what you want to reply to, or leave the whole thing.

and I also believe they have microwaves in case you want hot Red Bull.

It's an event micechat puts on, where the teams work to do Every Single Attraction in DCA and DL, in ONE day. I was a secret spotter last year on the second day of my solo trip, very casual job I had, and it was so fun watching people go by, starting off so excited and ending so so very very tired.... They have prizes and everything, though I had to leave well before their day was done...the trip reports from the award ceremony looked like fun! You can check it out over there...they perhaps take the parks a little bit more seriously than we do here, but they sure do love the parks (they have meets every sunday!).

Be sure to use the single rider line if you have to. We have used it often, and never waited more than 5 to 10 minutes.

And Marty and I always ride Buzz as singles because we fight over control of the joystick!..............so maybe I am a bit competitive.

Yep, Stefan is European, although I think he's German. He is so cocky and such a jerk to the rest of the chefs. But, every season has had someone like him--Stephen in Season 1, Marcel in Season 2, Hung in Season 3, and Andrew in Season 4. So, it's to be expected at this point that they are not only going to cast a jerk every season but that they will typically stick around until near the end or even win in Hung's case.
