i'm going to pack tomorrow.

i'll play the fat game with jeans tonight, trying on this pair and that pair, before ending up wandering around in my panties eatting a fudgesicle.

:lmao:

Just wanted to remind everyone about the Dole Whip for Bawb group photo on Sunday at 10am by the Tiki Hut. Let us know if you're going to come, so I can know who to expect for the photo.

I should be there for the photo.:thumbsup2

Before I get started, I just want to thank you ladies again for your thoughts and prayers.:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: My Sister did really well, and........................

They were able to get all the cancer out!!! I am so thankful!!:worship:

It pays to get your pap smear ladies. Because she was faithful with hers, the cancer was still in the early stages and had not spread outside of the uterus to the the blood vessels. So please be diligent on your once a year visits!! :thumbsup2

I'm so thankful that everything went well today!

I'll admit, I'm not good about getting my annual pap smear. Not good doesn't really describe it......honestly, I haven't had one since I was pregnant with Luke, and he'll be six in June.:rolleyes1

The plummer came first thing this morning and fixed our pipes, so that's all taken care of.

I'm not gonna say it. Nope, not gonna go there. TAG FAIRY, YOO HOO! :rotfl2:

LOL--I had the same thought!! I guess our minds are just in the gutter.

How is your Dad?

Oh Cristabel!!

Have you given more thought to the hunt?:goodvibes

I believe that Kelly's team might have lost 2 of their players. One that I know of for sure....................and one that has kind of dissapeared. I'm waiting to hear from her.

Good evening ladies!

I am making the little phone lists right now and then I am going to iron-on the tink transfer on my tee. Does anyone know how to do this? Am I supposed to trim around tink or do I just iron-on the entire sheet?

I am soooo excited! Our bedroom looks like a bomb hit it! There is stuff everywhere. It makes me happy though because that means I am about to travel to Disneyland!!

I will try to get caught up with the thread...it just moves sooo fast!:goodvibes

Melody, I am so SUPER DUPER happy to hear about your sis! That's such great news!

I went and got my printer some ink, now all I have to do is remember to wear clothes! :rotfl2:

I also got almost all the Red Bull I need for the trip, I think I'm 2 or so cans short. :hyper:

Also got a red shirt. I think I need to bling it out though, 'cause it's just a plain red shirt.

I wish I could help you the your shirt January, but I'm iron-on challenged.

Are you bringing red vines for the party? Huh? :hyper:

Oh and what time are you thinking of getting to my house on Thursday?

It really feels like a dream, that a week from now, I'll be shooting jello shots with you all. :goodvibes I don't drink much, so I'm going to have to be good and limit myself. I do remember loving them though!

I have been working on something for my tote, but it's not working out. I think I have a great plan B though.

I'll talk with you all later!

Hi all... It's been a really busy and tough week at work and today was no exception. In addition to a full schedule of meetings and rushing from thing to thing today, I was 20 minutes late picking Ty up. Then went back to work because I had to mediate a fight between my graduate intern and one of my undergraduate student workers. That and a few other issues that popped up kept me at work an extra 2 hours tonight, and I am just mentally and physically exhausted.

Oh, and to top off an already crazy day, when I was picking Ty up I asked for some information regarding the child who bit him yesterday as our pediatrician wanted information regarding the immunization status and any recent illnesses that we might need to take extra precautions for. The school director and AD, who I have always had a great relationship with before, were pretty defensive in reminding me that they could not share information about who bit my child but were at least willing to look at the child's file and give me general info. And, of course, it turns out that my kid was bit by a child whose parents have filed a religious exemption against vaccinations and thus has received no immunizations whatsoever.

I know that it's somewhat irrational and that perhaps the parents really do have a religious belief that prevents them from vaccinating but I have heard so many stories of parents using this as a cop out to get around the vaccination laws in states like NV that only allow for religious exemptions and not personal belief exemptions that I can't help but jump to the conclusion that these parents are somehow skirting the system.

I am so mad right now, as I feel like Ty is being unneccessarily exposed to potential harm by a classmate. Part of me feels stupid for not realizing earlier that there were probably kids in the school who were not vaccinated, and part of me understands that it should be a parents right to choose. However, just last month there was a Hib outbreak in Minnesota where a child died because they had not completed their vaccinations yet. And it seems like you read other stories all the time about outbreaks in communities where parents are choosing not to vaccinate, and I am personally having a hard time reconciling this with the potential danger not only to the kids themselves but also to other children like my son who is not old enough yet to have finished his vaccines.

So, I have a call into our ped's office but of course I have not heard back from them yet. And, I am freaking out--researching and worrying about what he has potentially been exposed to. And, of course, Dave thinks I'm overreacting. He's a great husband and dad and the fact that he is more grounded and mellow than I am is a good thing 99% of the time, but tonight it's pissing me off!

Thanks for listening and for providing the only amusements of my day. Particularly I would like to thank Dawn for making me laugh out loud while picturing the visual of baby jesus teaching a troop of brownies to make caramel delights!!!

I am so sorry that you are going through this garbage. I hopet that everything turns out okay.

Trim around Tink!!!!! I trimmed around her with about a 1/3 inch border, and it went well.

I have been feeling non-chatty, so just lurking. I am glad to hear that dad's are better, sisters had good news at surgery, you are all a bunch of lushes and Dawn is dancing about in her undies.

Did I hit everything? Oh, wait...and Wendy is trying to elicit dates on our trip by not wearing clothes? Maybe I missed something!!:rolleyes1 :confused3 :) :)

Back to lurking.

Melody---
Your sister and the rest of your family will continue to be in my prayers.

I have made an appointment for May 22nd. Thank you for the reminder. I have a pretty healthy family background...except for two of my mom's sisters have had cancer. Cervical and breast. It is very scary. The good news is that if detected early, it is treatable.

Cheshire, what are you afraid of, that could be passed by a bite and is also something that there's a vaccine for?

To calm you down, remember...no vaccine is 100%. I have a friend who has been vaccinated for various thing probably 10 times, b/c she's in a liver transplant program, and she is NOT immune to any of it. Her titers are checked routinely. She is not immune, despite being shot up often.

And if YOU believe totally in the vaccines you've given your child, then you shouldn't worry. If you don't believe that they are 100%, then that's a problem with the vaccines, not with the kiddo in that family.

Bites get nasty b/c mouths are nasty. Not because they have things that vaccines might prevent in them. It'll be OK.

I'm so glad DS only ever bit ME. I knew "a biter" and it was so hard to be around him. But some kids do it and others never do...it's a weird thing, the biting. Also glad DS grew out of it (the only times he ever did it when not teething, it turns out, were related to the corn syrup issues we figured out when he was 3...it would put him into an absolute RAGE, and biting was the only way to get the feelings out, poor kid).

Oh Cristabel!!

I'm going to join you and everyone's going to shout "Coooool Aiiiiiid." hahahhaa

Aw Heather!

You are a very good friend, with alot going on in your life.

No worries!

And I'm not a big drinker either. Ask Stacie or Wendy. :rotfl: The last time I was at DL we met up on Saturday. The night before I had one strong margarita from Tortillas Joes. Jut one............but really strong like I said. Good grief..................I felt icky the next day, and I was going on all the big thrill rides.

So Thursday night..............I'm not even taking a chance. Maybe some wine, and that is about all. I do not want to feel sick to my stomach again, going on rides. Yuk!!:sad2:

Man.I don't blame you one bit. Your Dave sounds like my Dave. I guess that is the way a man thinks. Sometimes it is a good thing in times like this. Take care, and I am sure that everything will be OK!:grouphug:

I guess I'm worried because our ped was concerned about whether the child had been vaccinated or not. And, it hit me by surprise when I found out that the child that bit him wasn't vaccinated because in my naivete I just assumed that the kids at his school all were vaccinated because it was required. I never even thought about kids getting religious exemptions because that is just not something that I had not personally encountered yet. I have friends who have vaccinated at a slower pace, but except for one friend who is convinced that there is a link between juvenile diabetes (her husband is diabetic) and vaccines, they have all vaccinated.
