Sorry I haven't been around much this week. Work is kicking my butt and I am in meetings from the time I get in 'til the time I have to pick up Ty. Thanks to whoever brought the See's lollipops to the candy buffet as a butterscotch lollipop was my lunch today!

Congrats Tracey on getting us a full refund. You are awesome, and I really hope that you'll come on the full trip next year and not just one day 'cause we had so much fun, even if we did go, go, go!!!!

As for whether or not to redo the poll, if others really want to revote, that is fine by me. But, I am really hoping that we can settle on a date soon, as I have to plan my work programming calendar or the entire 2009-10 academic year by next Wed. and I have purposefully been planning around the late Feb. into early March date so that I can go on the trip!!! So, if we are potentially changing to the late January date I need to go back into my calendar and make changes to ensure that I can be free.

Gotta run and make dinner as Dave and I haven't eaten yet and it's almost 7:30! Miss you all!

VIP LADIES: MAY I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE! Thank you!

My faith in all things Disney, including customer service, magic and wonder has all been restored.

See Below:

Hi Tracey,

I am so sorry you haven't heard from me sooner. I wanted to make sure I thoroughly reviewed your feedback as well as our paperwork for the Tour.

First and foremost, I want to thank you for the extensive feedback you and your Guests shared with me. As you had referenced below the only way that we can learn and grow is from feedback both positive and constructive. I truly believe in this and appreciate you taking the time to compile the below.

In researching the visit, it appears you and Kariane had worked very hard to create a very memorable and fun experience for your Guests. Both Kariane and myself were very disappointed to her that the overall tour did not meet the standards we are known for. Please know, we will be following up with all appropriate areas to make sure they receive your feedback.

Based on your disappointing experience, Kariane and I would like to reimburse you for the charges you received. Kariane will be processing the return today. You should see this reflected on your credit card within the next 5-7 days.

We do hope that you will book with us in the future. We would love the opportunity to not only meet but exceed your expectations! If you do choose to book a tour in the future, please feel free to contact myself or Kariane directly so that we can personally work on the visit with you.

Please let me know if you have further questions or comments.

Sincerely,
Kristin Kurz
Disney Special Activities Area Manager

Now, don' t you all be running out to spend your $75 just yet, because I do have a life (unlike Beth, who only does laundry and dis's:)) and hubby is out of town, leaving just little old me to do the baseball practice, game, trumpet lesson, ortho appointment life, not to mention the full time job thing. I need to get my cash stash out from under the bed, go to the bank, and then enter your addresses into my pay bills online thing because I don't actually own stamps anymore, and if I have to go to the post office too, well who knows when that would be done! But I suspect that by Sunday the checks will be in the mail.

Hey Jenn. PM me your address please. I expect a refund from HOJO and want to send you some money too!

Anyone else want any while I'm at it???

PS Called HOJO reservations, and got the Kids Suite booked Dec 17 to 23 for $107 a night. That is AP price, but isn't that amazing??? I keep looking at it to see if they messed up.

That's all for now. Michelle, hope your foot feels better soon!
I have not read back to everything, so hope I have not missed anything critical.

Tracey--awesome job! I am SO surprised given "Seth's" attitude (and we were nice, really). Like we said, the first lady who came out from the back gave us a knowing glance when we said who our guide had been, so I don't think this is the first time they've gotten complaints . . .. .

Hey!

I'm glad it was all resolved for you VIPers!!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: YAY Disney! (But I'd still never, ever recommend that tour. :rolleyes1 )
And may I just say it's a damn good thing I don't have a life. If I DID then I wouldn't have been sitting around bored one night, and I never would have thought of planning these trips, and none of you would have ever met and then where would you be??? So there. :snooty:

Ok, well, I guess I'm off to toss in another load of laundry. :laundy: :rotfl2:

Hail Beth--the starter of all great trips!

Speaking of which, actually I like the Feb-March dates, so I guess I would vote to keep it. I just asked the question because I didn't remember what we did last year. I am bummed that AmySue can't make those dates--isn't there any way you can do it AmySue?

I believe that is the weekend of the vet conference/convention.

Oh, and latest update:

Mom went and saw the surgeon today and they took x-rays--looks like one of the screws in her leg is working out. So she's got a "screw loose"!!!!:rotfl2: He doesn't think she will need more surgery. But then he also told her she wasn't walking enough . . . then he told her she was walking too much . . . . needless to say, I'm not feeling a lot of confidence right now.

And my older cat went back to the vet today--it looks like his kidneys have major problems. the last few times they've been able to fix him up and send him home . . . today the doc said he wanted to keep him on IV fluids overnight. I asked him realistically what we were looking at and he said "Summer . . . . maybe." I am very sad.

I haven't packed one thing for next week's trip--I am shipping a box and wanted to send it out Friday. I have started "pre-packing"--which is throw everything I might want to take in one area and then when I do pack (tomorrow night maybe) I make a decision on what goes and what stays. And I'm doing the last bit of laundry too. Because Beth didn't come and do it for me today!

Cheryl, I am going to email you because I have a cat and I was told "two months" by two vets for kidney failure. That was... three or four years ago.

Maybe get her a second opinion. But I do have to laugh at her having a screwl loose.

Im sorry to hear about your kitty.

I pack like that too. I open my suitcase and just toss things at it as I come across them. Or if I think of something that I might want or want to wear, I grab it and toss it in. Then I do the real packing closer to when I go. Usually the day I leave.

CheryL... i don't need an official diagnosis to know my mama has a screw loose... :rotfl:

mmmmmmmmmm... poor kitty... that's not news you ever want to hear.

why not just go shopping?:goodvibes forget laundry:thumbsup2 ShoP!

I'd say stick with what we have...mainly because the suspense is killing me and I want to start planning!!!!

Well what can I say...I have no life when it comes to when we should have the trip...as I can make any of the dates. I'm thinking the January date would be too cold though. JMO.

I am still tired and am not looking forward to tomorrow. I have to go to the dentist, they found a cavity yesterday when I went in for my cleaning and x-rays. So now I get to sit in the chair for almost  2 hours while they repair it...

I think I'm going to veg in front of the :happytv: . I hope you all have a nice evening. Talk to you all tomorrow.

Steph

Hey, don't you go talking about your mama like that. I love her just the way she is. Heck, I love anyone who can out do me in jello shots.

I'd say stick with what we have...mainly because the suspense is killing me and I want to start planning!!!!

Don't get your knickers all wadded up. ;) You will have at least 9 months or more to plan. Heck, someone could have a baby in that time. Jinx not it!

Good luck at the dentist.

Ok, I'm not caught up on the thread, but I'll go ahead and just jump in!

VIP Ladies: So glad Disney did the right thing and returned your money back. And Tracey, no worries about the HoJo room refund, if you get one (that was me Jenn you were asking, no?). BTW...you left your friend's teeny tiny DIS divas shirt in the room which I did take. Can I send that to you? You also left that evil poncho that got me soaked on Splash Mountain and I didn't dare to take that with me. :scared1:

2010 Ladies Trip: I'm happy with February. :) My AP will still be valid and more rides will be open than in January.

Michelle: Hope you foot feels better!

Capri:
Woohoo for going back to school in your own non traditional sort of way!

And Steph: Did you say you RAN 2 miles today?   Come on over and join us on the WISH thread for exercise inspiration and training plans!

BTW, for all ladies interested in the Disneyland 5k and 1/2 marathon. You can register anytime on your own at www.disneylandhalfmarathon.com If you are registering for the 1/2 marathon, there are a couple of discount codes for $10 or $15 dollars off for the 1/2 (not for the 5k) which can be found on www.disneyrunning.com . PM me if you're having trouble finding them.

Bigskynurse Amy and I are registered! Who else is joining us???:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I say keep the late Feb dates. January is too cold and so much is closed for refurb. But I am a go-with-the-flo-kinda gal!;)

Stacie & Debra - you guys are making me think you're like twins with all the silly smilies.:upsidedow

And Beth, you are seriously slacking on all the laundry girl!

I'll give you cupcakes

and lots of hugs

VOTE FOR JANUARY!

Please do another poll! I want to give Amy Sue another chance at being able to come!

:worship::worship::worship::worship:ALL HAIL JANUARY DATES!:lmao:

Ok the cupcakes are cute but a lil scary also.....

So I'm guessing your answer is really to keep it the dates that won. ;)

Yes, we did vote. And as I said, I am fine with keeping it at the Feb/March dates. However there were some in the group who felt since there were so many dates (5 choices) that we should then narrow it down to the top two vote getters.
Either dates are fine with me, so I will go with what the majority prefers.

Ok, thanks.

Do another poll between top dates:
Cristabel
Stacie
Cheryl (I think it was mentioned on the other thread?)
Theresa (You also mentioned doing this on the other thread right?)

Stick with the dates in Feb/March:
Janelle
Dawn

Anyone else have a preference? (I'm keeping my name off because being this far out, I'm sure I can plan to go either dates)

I am good with stickin with the winning date. Mainly because the plant is down in January and things will be crazy.
Plus more time to save money after Christmas.

Lets just hope this won't be us......

I hope not...

and they call *wendy and i* monkies!:rotfl2:
and you are...:rotfl2:

Regarding the 9 months waiting...for sure I'm not it!:sad2:
