My daughter is graduating this year. She and three of her friends were all in the same girl scout troop. Two of them are heading out of state to college in August. She and the other one are going to the same college. I thought it would be fun to give the two going out of state a care package to be opened only once they had arrived.

I'm trying to remember the song, something about making new friends.....one is silver and the other gold. Can someone help me with the complete song?

Make New Friends
But Keep the Old
One is Silver
And the Other Gold

A Cirlce is Round
It Has No End
That's How Long I Want to Be Your Friend

Thank you! I think that we will only use the first verse. My daughter is very excited about doing this for her friends. She wants to begin immediately.

OMG, thank you for bring a childhood memory back!:goodvibes

I liked that song, very sweet.

Talking about Girl Scout songs, remember "Sippin Cider"? Not sure if that's the name. It was a cute, long song.
"I asked him if, he'd show me how, to sip that cider through a straw".

How about "Amster, Amster, dxm, dxm, dxm, Amster, Amster, dxm, dxm, dxm". I don't remember any other words but those - the "x" should be "a".

Two groups - ones echos the other.

The cutest boy I ever saw
Was sippin' cider through a straw
The cutest boy I ever saw was sippin' cider through a straw.

I asked him if
He'd show me how

Now and Then
That straw would slip
-
-
-
-
I forget the middle and end bits.

He said of course
he'd show me how

repeat

That straw would slip
-and that is how
-I kissed his lips

I think they get married & had children, don't remember. I'll have to google it.

When I first saw the thread, I thought you were talking about the Girl Scout song where you spelled out the letters and said what they stood for:

She wears a G for generosity.
She wears an I for interest, too.
She wears an R for real sportsmanship.
She wears and L for loyalty, for loyalty!
She wears an S for her sincerity.
She wears a C for courtesy.
She wears and O-U-T for outdoor life, outdoor life.
And that Girl Scout is Me!

I've never heard this one...it is cute, I'll have to put it in my resource folder for my Brownie and Cadette troops!
Thank you!

You guys keep this up and I'll have to go home, scan my old brownie troop picture, and post it here!;)
