I have a couple of restaurant.com certificates for our Feb trip, one for Giordano's and one for Beef O'Brady's. The Giordano's is for the location on Apoka Vineland. Does anyone know if this certificate can be used for take out, or is it dine in only?

I was able to use mine to get some half baked ones to bring home.

What a good idea!

I just cancelled our trip a few minutes ago, so it will be awhile before I get a chance to use it, but I will definitely keep that option in mind!

I am glad you posted this! I have never used restaurant.com before but we love Giordano's so I bought a couple of certificates. We will probably eat there once every trip so they will come in handy. Thank you!

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, I have the same question posted to restaurants.com and I'm waiting for an answer.

I simply cant wrap my head around the difference between certificates and egift cards. I completely get the idea of certificates, buy a 50 dollar certificate for some reduced amount ( < 50) and then you have to spend 100 dollars in order to use the certificate.

But what are egift cards ? Are they essentially the same as cash for a specific location after being redeemed on line ? So if I buy a certificate for $50 and an egift card for $50 and spend 100.01, can I use the certificate and the egift card to essentially get the 100.01 in food for the cost of the certificate and the egift card plus a penny ? Can you use both at the same time ?

Again if this has been discussed I'm sorry I missed it. I'd like to know how it works before getting something for Giordanos on apoka vineland.

Thanks

I just got back from a trip and had certificates for Beef O'Brady's (loved it) and Giordano's.
I have eaten at Giordano's at least once each trip for the past few years and went there on Jan 3 this year.
I was very disapointed with their new menu. They have pasta, chicken parm, and ravioli, and pizza but no more lasagna, eggplant parm, and lots of other things missing. Eggplant parm is my favorite and I get it every time.
I had ravioli that was cooked aldente and was terrible. My friend had chicken parm that was overcooked and black in places.
We got the combo appetizer of zucchini and cheese sticks which were overcooked and hard, and mushrooms that were wet and made the breading mushy.
I have a few other coupons that I plan on turning in for other restaraunts. I will not go back to Giordano's since we don't really like pizza.

I'm thinking about buying a Giordano's certificate for $50. I'm not sure if we can eat $100 worth of pizza. Can the certificate be applied to alcohol purchases too. It seems I remember reading that some do not include booze. Are their prices on the more expensive side. Thanks to anyone that can answer some of my questions. We are a family of five big eaters.

If you sign up for notices from restaurant.com, they will send you codes for discounted certificates. I usually only pay $4 or $5 for a $25 certificate.

The egift card is to be used on the website to get a restaurant specific certificate. You can only use one certificate per meal even if there is more than one party sitting together. For example:
My family and another couple went out to dinner and used one $100 certificate. Even though the bill was large enough, we could not use an additional $25 certificate.

we always get the $25 cert. it has a minimum of spending $40, we usually spend about $50 so your talking half off, the past two times there was only 4 of us and we ordered two small with an appetizer and our drinks, the guys are also big eaters and we had plenty and was full!! As far as alcohol I have read over mine twice and it doesn't say it can't be applied, all it says is tips and taxes aren't and that you can't use other coupons or special offers with it......hope this helped!:goodvibes

Thanks for the info. The $25 GC were not available. I purchased the $10 for only $2. I found a code on line that decreased the cost Of all of the GC by half. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to share the code on the DIS?

You re certainly welcome to share the code on these boards. It is especially helpful when Swan/Dolphin certificates are available! :)
