Giordano's Restaurant.Com Certificate Question

I noticed on the website that they have a $50 for $20. I planned on doing the 80% off thing but noticed that you have to purchase $100 worth of food. I have friends that would love to try the Giordano's pizza back home, so I was wondering if I can get the $50 and then order some of the take and bake pizzas as well as eat in using that certificate?

Has anyone ever done this?

I will be taking the AutoTrain in December so no worries about spoilage.

I haven't done that, but I did use it for take out.. they gave me a bit of a problem since it states for dine in only. My DH and I went over Easter break and he had just had his back surgery less than a month earlier. He could not sit in the seats there. I wanted to take it back to the room where he could sit in the bed and be more comfortable. In fact, that trip, we could not eat out at all due to his back. They weren't too good about it when I tried explaining to them about him not being able to sit in their seats for a period of time to eat. I didn't understand why either. They were busy, we were opening a table for them and we were still giving the tip as it states on there that it was not included.. it was a win-win for them...:confused3 They eventually allowed us to take it out.. and we only had a $10 gift cert.. where we had to spend $20 total (including GC)... :confused3 We got a large stuffed pizza and an appitizer..

No personal experience with that but idk if they would allow that on a large cert. like that. I will say they were very lax about letting us use our certificate at a different Giordano's than what was listed on the certificate I had. Ours was for Lake Buena Vista and we ate at the one in Kissimmee.

It's worth a try :)

we got the 25.00 at 80% off but took home left overs , do not know about buying the frozen ones :confused3 sorry

I dont know the answer to your question but we just ate there on Sunday night, the pizzas that feed 1-2 are HUGE, dh and I were going to each order our own, thankfully the waitress told us we could do half pepperoni (dh) and half mushroom (me) Food was GREAT, service was AWESOME!!!

Part of the reason these coupons are "dine in only" are so that you buy drinks.....very rare to do take out and buy their high-profit drinks.

Another reason is if the tip isn't included, then having you dine in means they'll get a tip as well. Have to say that I don't usually tip at a pizza place where I have to give my order at the desk and all they do is bring the pizza to my table because they gave me a stick with a number on it (haven't eaten at Giodano's so not sure if it's the same). Was greatly annoyed to pay an 18% tip to stand at the counter and give my order and then have them hand me the box of pizza.....reading the fine print from now on, lol. Restaurant.com is becoming less and less a good deal because of their limits.....groupons and living social are better deals for my famiy lately. Did one just yesterday for the same pizza place that Restaurant.com required an 18% tip for me to do the ordering and pick up....but the groupon required no tip and was 75% off So...watch the fine print and do your calculations on things like having to buy drinks or pay tips before deciding. Restaurant.com used to be the only game in town and so I think they're still popular because people are used to looking there. Some of the others Groupon especially have a new "get it now" feature....especially great on your smartphone....you can buy it and use it that same day.....no pre-planning required.

If they won't let you take out, just go ahead and sit down...eat one slice and then ask that the rest of the pizza be boxed up and take it home. No need to order drinks either.

Give them (Giordano's) a call and ask. It certainly can't hurt. We used restaurant.com certificates at the Kissimmee and Lake Buena Vista locations last month and did carry out both times. We called ahead of time to make sure we could use the certificates for takeout and they said that we could, but that an 18% gratuity would be added. That was fine with us -- we didn't want to have to drag our kids out of the pool and to the restaurant, so it worked out perfectly.
