Gino!

So in honor of Gino and the Celtics -
I went "old school" with the workout tunes today.
Do you wanna funk with me - Sylvester
Ring my bell - Anita Ward
Pull up to the bummper - Grace Jones
Love Hangover (remix) - Miss Ross

Finished up with a Blonde and Bowie retrospective

Now that song is stuck in my head. I don't think I understand the concept of the video though, was it just the audience dancing in between quarters?

I'm not sure how this started - just some random thing they played at Celts games - and it just took off - now it all about GINO!

Ahh...believe it or not, I think basketball games are a lot more fun in person than they are on TV because in between every TV commercial and time out, they have people there to entertain you.

To be honest, I'm rooting for Boston to win, just because I loved when Larry Bird was on the team, and want them to win, BUT the torn part is that Boston has won their fare share of the titles lately (Football and Baseball) that I'd want to see LA win, but I hate Kobe, too too arrogant.

So I don't know...but I'm keeping my fingers crossed (Is it over yet?)

Wonder where Gino is now 32 years later! Man, as a kid I used to watch Bandstand every Saturday in the '70s! Such cute guys and I loved the music. Dick Clark said in an interview that the '70s were his favorite era on AB. I wish they'd show the program again on VH1. And Wally, I loved your old school playlist!

Will this question be on the final exam????

He's just one of those AB Dancer dudes -
who happens to be wearing a GINO French cut t-shirt design

I think Gino Vannelli had a hit in the 70s http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xXIHPUmv3k
and this guy was on Band Stand wear his shirt.
So the celtics dug up this old footage -
and it just became "A Thing"

I guess I was too busy watching the Partridge Family.
My first "concert" was actually David Cassidy at Madison Square Garden....swooooon.

:scared1: We're not going to start talking about "first concert" experiences, are we?

Cuz if we are, I'm not going to play!

No way in heck am I admitting that my first concert was Donnie & Marie at the Colorado state fair.

Nope. Not going to do it. And you can't make me! :rolleyes1

And they called it puppy love
Oh i guess they'll never know
how a young heart really feels
and just why i love her so
and they called it puppy love
just because we're in our teens
tell them all
please tell them it isn't fair
to take away my only dream
i cry each night
my tears for you
my tears are all in vain
i hope and i pray
that maybe someday
you'll be back (you'll be back) in my arms(in my arms)
once again
someone help me
help me
help me please
is the answer up above?
how can i
oh how can i tell them
this is not a puppy love
someone help me
help me
help me please
is the answer up above?
how can i
oh how can i tell them
this is not a puppy love
(this is not a puppy love)

not a puppy love

I saw David in Vegas later on too....I'm ashamed to admit I was still a little swoony. :cloud9:

Now I'm confused -
Are we talking about our first band we dated -
Or the first concert we attended -
cause I think Rosie's a professional groupie -
and has a few stories there.
Something involving Loverboy? ::yes::
Or was that Styx? ::yes::
