it says best overall ride experience in the rules in the email I got it has to be a ride???!!!!

They've added the competition details over on the homepage:

3. Gingerbread Houses/Rooms will be judged by the following categories:

-Best Theme
-Most Creative
-Best Overall (this includes both most creative and best theme)

This is probably just the same letter they sent out for the ride competitions. So don't worry whether it is a ride or not.

I really believe you can make it a single-room ride if you like or just a regular room. What you put into your one room is up to you as long as it contains some gingerbread and some holiday pieces. Just make sure its only one room.

Like Aengus said before, the only real important part you need to be concerned with is over and that is the registration process. After that the room part is up to you. So have fun and don't worry so much.
