Ginger Snaps

Do you like ginger snaps? They're very good for nausea (which I've been having a lot of lately), so last week I had my DD pick up a box for me at the supermarket..

Nabisco - and all I can say is WOW!!!!!!! Not in a "good" way.. They are so spicy, they actually taste "hot" - like there's Tabasco sauce in them or something..

Definitely won't be buying that brand again! LOL

I love them, the hotter the better. I ate them when I was getting chemo.

You can also brew a ginger tea by boiling chopped ginger root in water and then adding honey if you like it sweet. That's great for nausea, too. My oncologist suggested it.

Mix some broken ginger snaps in some cool whip. Crunchy, spicy, and cool. mmmmmm

I love ginger in just about any form. I used to keep crystalized ginger in my bag and nibble on it in classes and at work. You might try that for nausea, just remember to take tiny nibbles, NOT to shove the whole thing in your mouth.

My favorite ginger cookies are Anna's, or the triple ginger cookies from Trader Joe's.

The best ginger snaps in the world are sold at World Market and they come in a red tin. The name is something like Nyaker...? Anyway, they are soooooo good! Very thin and crisp and yes, they are the best thing for a stomach upset. Or even if you're feeling fine! Love 'em!

Last week I bought some Pepperidge Farms Ginger Man cookies for the first time, and I thought they were yummy. Thin and crispy and gingery. Of course they are all gone now, so maybe they were too yummy for my waistline (and I can't even blame my DH because he doesn't like ginger!)

The Archway brand in the red BAG are soooooo good. I like them a little chewy and these are perfect.

Yes, I like gingersnaps. It comes from my mother, who loves ginger and molasses type things. I have a good recipe for gingerbread trifle that I make in the fall. It has gingersnaps on top. My favorite drink is (diet) ginger ale. I keep it on hand at all times.

Newman's Own Ginger-Os are wonderful - ginger cookies with cream filling (kinda like oreos).
