November 10th

Hi again. Here I am just a couple of days back and everthing from the trip has turned a bit fanciful and hazy. Interesting how that happens...

Today we were all in sync. Queenbee and H.E. had an early breakfast, Cowgirl and Cowboy an kids were showered, shorn and ready and we all headed to the bus for MGM. It was just one of those days where everything goes right. We were going through the security check and up runs my nephew(Belle's middle son). In all that hubbub our families successfully found each other and wasted no time WAITING!! Yes!! A major portion of the family had their hearts set on Rocking Roller Coaster and TOT. I pretty much knew that DD#3 wouldn't enjoy any of that nor would the parental units, so the four of us splintered from the group and did something wonderful...Please don't get me wrong, I am no fuddy duddy, but fast and furious just didn't suit me that day....Beauty and the Beast did. All I can say is WOW. The four of us loved it. It sucked me in from the very beginning. It was well done and was just gorgeous in all aspects. We then went to Muppets 3-D where I had to cover little girl's eyes for the whole show. The rest of us enjoyed it (esp. MOM). Forgive me a brief step up on the soap box here, but recently I heard that the mother of one of my daughter's school chums didn't take her family on some attractions because "they are for little kids". I just shook my head and thought how sad they felt this way. I don't argue with folks, I have far too many battles to fight in life as it is, but I just thought how sad they missed out on some of what I consider the best stuff about Disney. Anyway...

We all then met up at Hollywood and Vine for lunch. What a hoot! I did not realize that it was a character lunch and boy was it great. The characters spent loads of time with our load of kids. They even picked on the teens which really tickeled me(they get sooo flustered ya know). The food was quite good. I give the coconut cake a triple A+++. I mean it. It was like my Grandmom Cubby used to make(if you had tasted her baking, you would be very impressed). We then went on the backlot tour, the Great Movie Ride, and saw the Indiana Jones stunt show. We also did Star Tours which was wicked and wild and I loved it! The only one I would skip would be the Indiana Jones Stunt Show...seemed a bit slow to me (maybe everything else was too exciting???).

We said our sad farewell to Belle and her family. They had to go home to SC. Happily, we will see them in December, so no tears this time!! The rest of us went back to the Polynesian, got showered and spruced up and headed out for the Luaua. I saw this years ago and can say that it is still worth every penny to me. The food is OK, it is the entertainment that I think is soo very good. We had a great waitress who was obnoxious to my DH. He is also obnoxious, so they got along like two peas in a pod. Too Funny!!

Another jam packed day. Another day with slightyly aching calves and a blister forming on my second smallest toe. Would I have it it any other way? Nope. I was loving it. Every speck. Thanks for reading!! MJ

Sounds like a fun day. I've only seen that Beauty and the Beast show once, about 3 years ago and I'm looking forward to checking it out on my next trip. Glad to hear it was as good as I remembered. Thanks for posting!!

RnRC is not for me either! I'll stick to Beauty & The Beast any day! (the pre-show group, 4 for a dollar, are worth going for too!)
