Gifts of a Lifetime

I was wondering if anyone used this group for helping make an event extra special?

We are heading there Nov. 6th and I contacted "Gifts of a Lifetime" to help make the trip extra special for my parents. My parents are bringing my family and my sisters family (10 people total) on the Trip of a Lifetime and my sister and I wanted to do something extra special to thank them while in the park. Gifts Of A Liftime came up with something that sounds really special (no scavenger hunt) but a bit more $$$ than I thought. I just wanted to make sure this is on the up and up and worth the $$$.

I know I can count on this forum to help me with my decision.

I have used Gifts of A Lifetime twice, for scavenger hunts cuz that's what my boy enjoys. THey are very reputable. Not knowing the event you are planning I can't tell you whether it is worth the money but as long as it doesn't put a strain on your budget I think you will be happy you did it. I'm not trying to get details of the event cuz they don't like for people to post the event details cuz it might spoil it for others who do a similar event. They are good people and you won't be scammed in any way, and as long as you can afford the extra $$ to have the event while you are there, I say go for it. ALso, have you done a search on this DIS boards, cuz I know there are some other threads on them, but might not be any recently.

I used them last spring break for a couple of specialized gift baskets and they were just wonderful! These were pretty pricey - about $150 each and well worth it. I'm planning on having them do an event sort of like you are describing for my parents 30th anniversary July 2005.

I used Jane for my daughter's 8th birthday - we elected for the scavenger hunt becaue I thought it was perfect for her! We thoroughly enjoyed it as did my daughter - she was totally shocked by the whole thing! I can highly recommend GOAL!

Another positive experience here! We've worked with Jane on several experiences. A hunt being one for my DS's birthday, along with a vow renewal & more birthday events.

Each has been wonderful!! Very special memories from these events. My DH will be getting a surprise in Nov for his 45th birthday! I'm brining LOTS of film that day!

If the $'s don't tax your wallet too much, I'd say go for it! I think it's wonderful what you are doing for your parents, this will make the trip even more special for them. Enjoy!

Thanks to everyone who responded. I think this is something we will definetly do. I want to make this trip extra special for my parents and thank them for taking us. I almost cried when I wrote what Jane had planned and I'm sure my Mom (maybe Dad too) will get emotional over the event. I went it to be a very memorable experience. thanks
