My DH told me yesterday that he needs a few gifts for coworkers. (Even though I asked him earlier in the month if he needed anything!) He wasn't planning on giving gifts, but so far he has received a bottle of wine (from coworker) and a barnes and noble gift card (from the director). I was thinking boxes of chocolates or nuts, but that seems so blah!

I give my coworkers a tray of cookies every year. They are already asking me when I am bringing them in! But I don't really know DH's coworkers enough to give homemade cookies. They might throw them away (like I read here on the DIS) and I wouldn't want to waste the time, ingredients and money.

Honestly, I would tell him they are his co-workers, he needs to decide what he wants to give them. If he has no ideas, just do the chocolates or nuts.

I guess something general, like mugs and hot coco?

I stopped given gifts to my coworkers because I now work from home. My DH coworkers give great gifts. One gave ipods last year....hate it. Now we have to spend 30-50 dollars on each of them. Thank goodness there are only 2 now, but still $100 on strangers is crazy.

We are doing a $10 gift exchange at work and I am going to take $10 in Lottery tickets... :) Scratch Offs... I think the guys will love it (I work with all guys)

Giftcards to places they eat lunch at
Starbucks cards
Cozy socks/ Fancy hot coco
Lottery tickets are always a big hit

I think everyone loves chocolate. So Id go with that. Or since its work.. a coffee gift card is always nice like dunkin or star bucks.
