Gifting an Annual Pass

I know I can just buy an annual pass for someone else (and they have to activate it) - But is there a way to "gift" one to somebody? Maybe buy a card at the local Disney store?

Ok - let's try it this way...

I live out of state in Indiana but the family lives in Florida. I'd like to purchase a florida resident AP for one of my family members (Silver Pass) but there doesn't seem to be anyway of doing that from my MDE account - they want you signed in as a foreign resident.

Is there anyway of doing this online? (Short of hacking into the family members MDE account? )

Of all of the ticket choices, purchasing a Florida Resident AP (if you are not a Florida Resident) is the most problematic.

The Gift Card is the absolute easiest way to gift the funds for the resident to buy the AP.

Yeah - I'm quickly learning that.

I manage my mother's account on MDE (I *am* the Disney planner for the family after all!) And added the Florida AP to her cart and assigned it to my sister whom I'm getting the AP for (she's also in Florida) and get the warning that this is only a voucher and will have to be activated with a Florida ID - cool, no problem there and go to checkout. They verify her home address is in Florida and then I go to billing.

The billing address for the credit card is locked to Florida! I can change everything else in that form BUT the state!

Guess I haveta get a gift card or buy it at the window when we get there!
