Gift ideas for First graders

It's always tough to find something that both boys and girls enjoy. You might try getting them a chess set or a telescope, or something educational. Maybe even something they can all enjoy rather than getting individual gifts. There is a website called The Ultimate Super Store dot com and they have some good educational gifts for children. I was on there recently and their prices are reasonable. I hope this helps. Enjoy your trip.

Well since its not my classroom all the time I can't do that. Its only my classroom for an hour once a week.

One year I did buy a stuffed Mickey and drew a different student each day who got to keep at his/her desk and take it home for the night. They loved doing that!

This is a cute idea. We do this for our kindergarten class. We have a stuffed bear along with the bears very own back pack with a few items; bears favorite toy, pj's or a change of clothes etc. The student gets to keep him for the weekend. Once a child's name has been picked, his name does not go back in the bucket until everyone has had a chance. The students love doing this and when they bring him back, the child has a chance to stand in front of the class to share what he and the bear did together; IE: we went to grandma's house and had a sleepover. In your case, each student would have a week. You can even vote on the stuffed animal's name. Could prove to be fun.
