Gift for the Groom

I've been thinking about what to buy DF as a wedding gift from me.

What are you guys buying your DFs?

I got mine football tickets and a surprise groom's cake!

I got mine a beautiful statue of Grumpy (his favorite) in DTD on our surprise trip in June.

I bought him a lenox Grumpy box and place mickey cufflinks in them, just something little. Instead of buying eachother expensive gifts and going on a big honeymoon other than Disney( Like HI..etc) we decided to purchase the Disney Vacation Club so we can go year after year and with our kids eventually.

He loves golf so I'm either going to buy him some new clubs or a golf membership for a year.

My DF is a drummer. He's always wanted to go back to a STOMP concert where they make drums out of anything (trashcans, basketballs, etc.). They are coming to Atlanta in September so I bought tickets and VIP parking for him.

I'm looking at something more intimate to give him also.

I think we've decided not to do gifts because we're pretty tight on money paying for the wedding and the new house plus there's nothign we really need or want at the moment.

That being said, we did discuss it the other day and decided the fancy projector he bought for our home theater room will be considered his wedding gift and the bulldog puppy I am getting right after the wedding will be my gift. Of course these were both bought out of joint so they weren't surprises, but they were things each of us really wanted. Plus they are gifts both of us can enjoy together!

I got him a PSP. He didn't get me anything b/c he didn't know you were supposed to and I never mentioned it...

I would love a stock share as my gift, but I know he'll never think of that...

I do have to add, per my post above, that if you WANT your DH to get you a gift, make sure that he knows about that "tradition" or else you will end up like me. I wasn't too upset b/c I hadn't mentioned it to him, only hoped that he knew. Don't presume that he knows.

DF is getting custom fuchs (wheels) for his Porsche. (His car is the other woman )

I bought DH diamond cufflinks with his intials engraved on them and a swaovski Mickey tie tack.

He didn't know about the tradition either, but he did buy me a pair of diamond and pearl earrings to wear for the wedding. He didn't know it was something he was supposed to do, he just did it to be nice. I count it as the only romantic thing he has ever done...
