Hi all!! :goodvibes

I was just wondering what gift yall were giving your planners?!? Gift cards (if so, to where), cash (seems sort of impersonal to me :confused3 ), personal type gift (homemade, I'd guess you'd say).

Just wanted to see what everyone had to say.

TIA!!

We sent our planner a thank you note with a gc to Sephora. I really didn't know what she liked but I figured everyone can find something at Sephora (or at least I hope so:p).

I'm from the Jersey shore and I'm giving her salt water taffey, a Jersey Shore shirt and a gas gift card! The shirt is a joke between us.

I gave a gift to my planner, floral planner, and photographer. For the 2 planners, I called their assistants and asked what they would most like, and for the photographer, I called my photography contact. For my wedding planner, her assistant suggested straight out cash since she had just gotten married too. For my floral planner, her assistant suggested one of several stores from an area near where we lived, and I chose a Target card. And my photography contact told me that my photographer couldn't accept cash and that a visa or american express gift card would be the same, so she suggested a Target gift card as well.

So I guess really, my point would be to maybe ask your planner's assistant what they think your planner might like best.

We made up a gift bag of typically British stuff (as we are from the UK). Tea from Harrods, Scottish shotbread, Cadbury chocolate and lots of other things. We also included a box of toffee that is made in our hometown and is by appointment to the Queen and sold in the gift shop at Buckingham Palace. How posh is that!!!:lmao:

Yes I was thinking of a gift card of some sort. Thanks!!

Anyone could definitely use a gas card right now!! That's a great idea!. And that's nice that you 2 have a private joke you can share.

Construction Hard Hat?

 Funny!

I haven't dealt with an assistant at all. I've only been in contact with my planner. I've got a list of all of the people I have to tip, but she's the only 1 I'm undecided on.

:rotfl: Very posh indeed!! But that is a great idea! :thumbsup2 I can't really think of anything from this area that I would like to give her though. I told the DF we could go to the pecan place and get her something to do with pecans, but that's about all we have.... besides peaches that is. But these days you can get better peaches in FL than you can in GA anyway. So, oh well!! :)

I think we're going to go with a gift certificate to 1 of the spas. I know for a lot of people, this isn't something money is usually spent freely on. A massage that is.. or whatever she chooses to have. I would love it if someone gave me a gift certificate, so I think that's what we'll do!!

So my next question would be, do I give it to her the day of the wedding? If so, what if she's not the 1 that's there for some reason? Do I just mail it her? :confused3 Need help people!! Time is ticking away. Trying to figure out all of these last minute details. We only have 37 days to go!!

TIA!

Think I will do something similar. I'm sure my planner etc will enjoy something local from Durham given that we are surrounded by castles round here.

This is a marvellous idea. My planner is married to an Englishman so maybe some British treats will go down well with him too!
