Does anyone have any ideas?? My nephew just became engaged and they're having a party to celebrate this weekend. I know a gift isn't absolutely necessary, but I'd like to bring something to "welcome" her to our family and let her know how excited we are.

The only thing I've come up with is a gift certificate, but that doesn't seem very personal or original!

TIA
Edie

Did you want something personal, maybe a pair of earrings or if you wanted something for the beginning of their life together nice champagne flutes that they could use at their wedding. I would be lost what to but, I am no good on gifts but those two would be my idea :D

What about a wedding planning book.....or a book on marriage. I also like the idea of getting them something they can use at their reception. Gift certificates are always good.

A wedding planning book would be a great gift, or wedding planning software. Another choice might be just a regular date book or day planner or a pretty calendar.

I received a book that I thought was great, it not only had planning information but also was a keepsake book that had journal pages to write about how we met, the proposal and such.

If getting a gift certifcate or gift card, what about to a favorite restaurant so they can have a special date night?

How about giving her a pciture of your nephew formwhen he was little? I personally like the dinner gift certificate idea myself. I love to go out to eat!!!;)
