gift certificates

has any one ever bought disney gift certificates to pay for their trip?
do they charge you a fee if they are not used in a year or so?

I don't know about gift cards - the person who sells them to you could probably answer that though. As for Disney Dollars, they don't get dated when they're sold, so they don't expire. HTH
