I have been bidding on Disney Gift Cards on E Bay. I have found that people are bidding more than the face value everytime. Why would they do this. Example pay $51.00 for a $50.00 card:confused3

Scammers - they ask the seller to send the gift card code via e-mail after the auction and then claim they didn't receive it and get it for free. Or if the seller ships without tracking they claim they didn't receive it and get it for free.

If the seller doesn't use tracking, they lose.

Not necessarily scammers. I've sold gift cards a few times and they have gone for either very close to face value or just above. I've not had any issues.

There are already a number of threads here discussing this issue. Try doing a search; you'll find lots of information.

Best advice I could give is go with someone with a super high rating. :thumbsup2

Agreed. I would not do it, not worth the risk. Although someone gave my son a chucky cheese gift card last year. He's too you for cc so I put I on ebay and got within $1 of face value. I don't get it, why not just use cash, but there are some honest gift card sellers out there.
