Gift cards, gas cards - how long are they good??

I finally have enough in MyPoints acct. to cash out for 4 gas cards and I want to order them early enough to get here before we travel to FL for our Disney cruise in Sept.

When do you suggest I order them?? If I order them now, will they not expire before Sept.??

I haven't ordered a gas card in forever, but in looking at the last one I got from mypoints and Shell (probably a year ago or so?), the expiration date is 11/2005. I'm sure someone has more recent experience and should be able to help.

Sorry, wish I could help, but I have never ordered a gas card through My Points.

In our state, MA, gift cards cannot expire (even though they say they technically can if an expiration date is listed, but I've not ever had one expire or lose value), it's a state law. I would check Florida state laws on this.
