Does anyone know if when booking a package through Disney and you put the $200 deposit down...can you use a disney gift card/cards to do this ? I would love to get the gift cards at Kroger when they run the 4x fuel points...thanks !

Yes, you can use a gift card, cc, transfer of funds, etc... Just remember that if you use a gift card and cancel, your refund will be a gift card as well. have fun booking!

We did that our last trip. I called to do it and she said to hold onto the gc in case we needed to cancel as the refund would go back on the same gc cards.

I LOVE buying Disney GCs when Kroger does that sale! I did $1500 in one transaction once after we got our tax refund. We paid for almost our entire trip with GC's.

If you like the GC you should look into the Disney Savings Account. You can put GCs towards you goal. Plus for every $1000 you spend on your reservation using the account Disney gives you a $20 GV, just make sure you open the account more than 120 days before your trip.

Just a heads up, you can only use one gc, if you are booking online. So, if you are booking online, make sure you have a gc that will cover it all on one card. I think you would need a $500 gc. I don't think they sell $200 gcs?
You can use as many as you like over the phone though.

Just FYI, they have ones at Kroger (don't know about anywhere else, I bought all mine there!) where you choose the amount, between $25 and $500.

I have only seen set amounts, $25, $50, $100 and $500. Funny that they don't have a set $200 card, since that is the deposit.
