Gift card question???

I want to buy my DS a Disney Gift card for his birthday so he can use it for spending money while we are there in August. I was reading that the gift card said it's usable at some locations in WDW. Does anyone know will that work at most of the gift shops there?

work at probably every gift shop at WDW. There may be a souvenir cart or two with a problem, but that would be rare.

I have never had any trouble using gift cards at an disney property or store inside WDW.

Ive never had a problem using a gift card anywhere on Disney property.

We give gift cards year round as "extra" gifts-it is money we have "saved" through out the year for our trip. Never had a problem using them.

Great. That's what I was hoping. At 15 cash is too much of a temptation to save for 6 months. I appreciate all the replies.
