I am looking to send a gift basket to my parents' room for our trip in October. They are not "drinkers" so I was thinking some sort of Disney snack and soda/water basket. I really don't want to do flowers since they will not last long.

Since Feralpeg has retired from this sort of thing, any ideas where I can have something like this made up and any "unique" ideas??

Thanks for any input.

Have a fun Friday!!

I made a gift basket for my parents for an upcoming trip and I'm planning to just take it with us and have it delivered to their room when we arrive. I went a little overboard, since this will be the third trip they're treating us to. In addition to some wine & wine glasses (i know you said your parents weren't drinkers), I put some disney snacks and a disney-themed platter with a mickey mouse canape knife. I found a disney soft cooler on ebay and plan to fill it with some snacks -- cheese, crackers, spreads they can enjoy in the room. Since they are driving, I also included some CDs (Wishes, Julie Andrews doing the disney classics, etc..) a mickey mouse throw blanket, a small mickey travel pillow, an antenna topper and even some mickey mouse fuzzy dice (just for fun!) so they can feel the magic on the way home. To top it off, I found (on ebay, of course) the cutest red and white tote bag with disney embroidery for mom to carry in the park -- i put in some sunscreen, body glide, a little first aid kit, a hidden mickey book, and a hand-held little fan with mickey on it. Disneyshopping had some really cute baskets on sale (laundry baskets, collapsable laundry baskets, and some canvas organizers) -- I put everything in the mickey mouse laundry basket and she can just collect the dirty clothes in the basket after she takes the treats out. I know its overboard, but it has made an adorable basket and I think she will really use everything at WDW and at home. Can't wait -- 63 days to go!

popcornfactory.com has some really cute baskets for halloween. They are not that expensive and if you have one of those entertainment books with all the coupons, you can get $5.00 off.

I would just make one up myself and ship it a few days before you leave.
You could put some Disney snacks, bottled water, maybe a disney disposable camera(I saw them at Target)and a Disney photo album. How about a Disney hat, sunscreen stick.
kirtiebird had some great ideas.
If you don't want to go through all that trouble, then I would just use the Disney florist.
