I know the virtual queue is regularly ~3 hours long. Does anyone know what time the virtual queue has been closing each night? I know that the shop is open until Disney Springs closes, but didn't want to get there too late in the evening to have the virtual queue already filled.

Also, I really want to try their hot cookie hour from 7-8. Does anyone know what time I should try to enter their virtual queue to attempt to get in during that hot cookie hour?

We just came back from WDW. They were cutting off around 8:30 each night. We were able to get in to the bake house about 4 times this trip. They did have a standby as you got closer to Springs closing. But it wasn't a guarantee to get in. We did hot cookie hour we signed up for the queue around 5:30 and got in for it. Personally I think the hot cookies and the ice cream is better than the cookies plain. But fair warning the chocolate ice cream is loaded with peanut butter so just be aware of that if you have anyone with nut issues in your party.

The one team member we were talking to said the coffee cake usually doesn't sell out until c. 1p.m. Idk if you're flying but we flew back with some last night and TSA made us unpack the entire carry on and go through everything because of the cookies. So I would keep them in a separate bag if you need to fly with them. We just took a Lyft over to Springs it was worth the $10, I hate dealing with bus to/from springs. The buses to the parks are fine but for some reason Springs is always a nightmare for me.

SAME!!!! Buses to Disney Springs ALWAYS suck, no matter where you are staying! I guess that's the one perk of staying at Saratoga... And that same exact thing has happened to us at the airport when we have tried to bring our cookies through TSA security- we will FOR SURE be stocking up again this time! Thanks for the info about the coffee cake cookie- that's also super helpful... Curious what time you got in for that hot cookie hour when you signed up at 5:30 (oh and does that mean that you got in line to sign up for the virtual queue at 5:30 or you reached the front of the line to sign up for the virtual queue at 5:30 lol)? Did you like the vanilla or chocolate ice cream better w/ the cookie? I LOVE chocolate and PB but think that may overpower the flavor of the cookie a bit...

Hi! You're going to LOVE it! Seriously they are the BEST COOKIES YOU WILL EVER HAVE!!! It will ruin you for life with all other chocolate chip cookies!!!
All you do to enter the virtual queue is go to the Gideon's Bakehouse shop in Disney Springs- enter the physical line to enter the virtual queue- they will tell you how long that may be (i think it's been averaging around 3 hours?), and you can go shop around Disney Springs. They will send you a text when it's your time to come back to the bakehouse! Hope this helps!

Not sure if it’s changed recently, but when we were there last month, the sign-ups for the virtual queue were in front of Morimoto Asia. You will receive a link to keep track of the return time...and once you receive a return text, you will checkin with a host at the physical line.

The virtual line closed around 7 pm.

The classic chocolate chip is my favorite! but really they're all good! I would say my second favorite is the pistachio toffee chocolate chip. The morning coffee cake cookie is awesome too! Cookie's and cream was probably my least fave. And always try their cookie of the month because those are awesome too! They freeze really well too fyi.

Just curious, what didn’t you like about the cookies and cream? I just got it yesterday and I haven’t tried it, I ended up on a sweet binge and got donuts from Everglazed and cupcakes from Sprinkles that wouldn’t keep like Gideons.

It's not that I didn't like it, the other flavors are just so phenomenal, that that one is easily forgettable... And maybe a little too much of the inner Oreo frosting for my liking- i think they use the double stuffed oreos- That's just me though!
How did you like Everglazed? I want to try the chocolate peanut butter Reeses one, but I have a feeling it probably looks better than it tastes!

We signed up around 5:30ish right before dinner and we got in around 7:30ish. The queue wasn't too bad that night. Honestly Gideon's was sister's big thing this trip and I was fighting a food coma by the time we got to the front of the queue that night.

But the vanilla ice cream over the chocolate chip cookie was supreme! And I'm a chocolate ice cream person, but their chocolate ice cream was too much for me. because there was lots of peanut butter and chunks of brownie in it.
