Ghirardelli Birthday Coupon Question???

I signed up to get Ghiradelli coupons via email. I got a great one today. It is buy 1 get 1 free for the sundae. It states let Ghiradelli treat you on your birthday. It does have my name on it. It states to have Id at time of purchase and it is good through 3/4/2005. My birthday is February 9 and we are not going to Disney until February 10. Has anyone used these....can I use it on another day other than my birthday? Do they check id's? I would love to give one to my brother & his family as they will be there then also. Thanks a bunch! My mouth is watering already!
