Ghiradellis or B/C?

On our first day I have promised to buy OOP my kids sundaes, so which would you recommend? we are tempted to go to Ghiradellis (CS at EOS and then ice cream) but which would you say is the better "parlour"?

Beaches & Cream definitely has more atmosphere, IMO, but they are both equally yummy. And if you're already at EOS, then Ghiradelli's would just make more sense. Likely a longer wait at B&C, too, as you'd have to wait for a table unless you just do takeout, but then you miss out on the atmosphere.

hi amy us brits do ask intelligent questions - occasionally

geographically it doesnt make much difference, we are staying at ssr, but the first day we are arriving (after driving up from miami) lunch time, and this is their "lunch". healthy eating is going out the window for the first day, which serves the better icecream??

Beaches and Cream is our all time favorite
The No Way Jose - peanut butter and chocolate sundae is a favorite that we have every trip! It's become a family tradition

We live in Chicago and can go to Ghiradelli's anytime - only one Beaches and Cream!

Ghiradelli has better ice cream. B&C tastes almost as good, but I personally like the atmosphere MUCH better at B&C. Its nice to have someone bring you your dessert, versus standing in a winding line at Ghiradelli. And you can't beat some of the dessert offerings there.

Ghiradelli's is better taste-wise but Beaches and Cream has a better atmosphere. My vote goes to Ghiradelli but I don't think you could go wrong either place.

We like Ghiradelli's but we LOVE B&C. I love getting the No Way Hose Sundae . The atmosphere at B&C is so bright and fun. On the other hand, it is nice to get a sundae at Ghiradelli's and sit out by the water.

Beaches and Cream is a lot of fun. Ghiradelli's is like going to something in a strip mall.

But, the warm brownie sundae at Ghirardelli's is awesome! If you're already at DTD, just let the lunch settle for a bit and then hit up Ghiradelli's. Could always take a short break from a day at Epcot and head over to BnC and load up on a Kitchen Sink!

Ghiradelli's is good, but we prefer the sundaes & the atmosphere of Beaches & Cream. That said, since you're staying at SSR and it's your first night there, logistically you'll be better off going to Ghiradelli's.

We LOVE Ghiradelli's and have sundae's almost every time we go.
Honesly, I've never had better ice cream or fudge.
But I must admit I've never tried Beaches and Cream.

Well, of course! If you're real good parents you'd take them to both places and let them deide which is better. Be forewarned-it's a VERY difficult choice and they may need multiple trips to determine which is better

Since you are already going to be in DTD pop your head in and see if the atmosphere suits you. If it doesn't suit your fancy then head to B&C. Personally I wouldn't schlep my family on two busses just for a sundae. You are alreayd in DTD and I would maximize my time in DTD than wait for busses, but as always your opinion may differ. I personally didn't mind waiting in line and then sitting at a table. No waiting or flagging down a waitress and the ice cream and chocolates were yummy at Ghiradelli.

Ghirardellis is FAR superior. The main problem with B&C is that by the time you get your ice cream, it's more than half melted. I hate that! At Ghirardelli's, you pick up your ice cream the minute it's done.

Ghirardelli's has EXCELLENT hot fudge, cookies, and brownies. And, they also have a peanut butter and fudge sundae. And, just FYI, you can have ANY type of ice cream and topping combo you want at Ghirardelli's; you don't have to only order the specialty sundaes off the menu...

And, no tip is necessary at Ghirardellis.
