Don't flame, I know I am comparing apples to oranges. But with a party of 6 (2 include my very adventurous 14 and 15 year old) would you rather eat at GFC or Narcoossees and why. Is the $$$$ really worth it?

You're right, different restaurants to compare. We've eaten at both, and although they were both good, we LOVED Narcoossees. We're actually going back for our next trip. The location was beautiful, the food was excellent and everyone was so friendly. I think its worth the extra money.

We are eating at Narcossee's for the first time in Jan. My friend went in Sept and commented that we should consider changing it to GFC, apparently they liked it much better. But I'm sticking with my ADR for Narcossee's because I love LOBSTER

Narcoossees - hands down. The manager at the restaurant I frequent goes to Disney every year and he and his wife always dine there at least once.

Now, he is very picky, having run a restaurant all his life, but he says by far, besides the CG at the CR, they are all about service. He says they are never rushed through any course of their meal, and the server is always very attentive to make sure their entree does not come out until after they have been able to go out on the patio and watch the MK fireworks!

It's not a money issue - Narcoosees is a bit more formal in it's offerings where GFC is more casual. Both are great IMHO. It would depend on what everyone is in the mood for. We love Narcoosees, but we also enjoy the GFC. (We have not done dinner at GFC in a while. )

I like the GFC for lunch. It probably would not be my first choice for dinner.

Narcoosees is a lovely restaurant and I love seeing the fireworks from there, but I personally do not think the food is that good. DH and I have eaten there twice and thought it was just so so for the money.

We ate at Citricos on December 1st and it was one of the best meals I have had on property. We will definely be going back.

I can't comment on Narcoossee's since we've never eaten there, but we've been to GFC twice this year and both times we've had some of the best food we've ever had at the World (and on the cruise ships). I think their salmon is delicious and perfectly cooked; my DH loved the steak. Their dessert menu is great; we had the chocolate fondue, hazelnut mousse, and the berry pyramid (which is sugar free and DH said the best dessert he had all week) and all were wonderful. The dining room is light and airy and not too crowded. The service we had was perfect; our server's name was Lacey and she could not have been better. All in all, we are definitely going back next year.

especially if you can get ressies during Wishes for it.

I feel so pampered there with the staff being very attentive. The food is excellent, too. The vegetarian offering has a little to be desired, but that's my only complaint there.

Both restaurants are excellent. If $$ isn't an issue, then Narcoossee's!!!
Time your ressies with WISHES, as the above poster stated.
Make sure you get the crab cakes for an appt.
