First let me say that my wife and I have always wanted to stay at the GF. We used our DVC points, I know it was not a smart way to use points but it was something we always wanted to do. We arrived on a Sunday evening around 4pm. It was great!!! The only thing was I did not like where self park was located, across the street. We ate at Citricos that evening for dinner. It was one of the best meals I have ate at DW. (Everyone was on the Deluxe Dining Plan, worth every penny) The next day, Monday we kicked off with MGM. We first ate breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. Not that good, I was very disappointed. Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey blow this place away. We had a great time, my 6 year old son loved Tower of Terror and thought it was "awesome". We got to ride the Toy Story ride and that was good to go, I personnally like Buzz Light Year ride at MK better. We then ate at the Sci Fi for my first time. That was really cool. We then wondered the park and had dinner at Brown Derby. This was a great stop except for the Grapefruit Cake. BBBLLLLLAAAAHHHHH. I figured since it was "World Famous" it had to be good. NOT!!! But for those of you who like it, no worries, its just not for me. We the hit Fantasmic where my 8 year old daughter scammed me for a $15 dollar light up spin toy instead of our agreed upon $10. It was ok, I love to spoil them on vacation. The next morning we ate at the Gaspirilla Games, and had a quick breakfast. We then went to MK. We spent the whole day there we ate at Pecos Bill for lunch where it was really good. It was my daughters birthday and one of the workers sang Happy Birthday to her and made the whole place sing also. She was so embarrassed. Partly because it was an older boy (around 18) not bad looking was singing and talking to her. The best part after she was gushing and embarrassed he gave her two free carrot cakes to where she replies "I don't eat that, how about those cookies?" That's daddy's girl
We played all day at MK and had dinner at Califonia Grill. This was our second time eating there and it was just as good. My daughter had her birthday button on and they treated her like a little princess. They brought her a cake (we did not order) , decorated our table, and brought her and her brother to the kitchen area to make their own desserts. They even took our camera and took our family picture with MK in the background and took a picture with their camera and e-mailed it to me. HOW COOL!!! We then went back to MK and stayed till 2am. I have to say that was fun. We had a great time as a family and that is what it is all about. I loved watching my kids do things and bond as sister and brother. It made me feel very prideful and I had a great time. I almost forgot, we went to go take our picture with Mickey Mouse at his house in ToonTown. We lucked out and Mickey and Minnie were in the same room. We took our picture, walked to the side for the net group and my son with his graceful self.... They have a shabby canvas wall, his shoe was untied so I told him stand still and daddy will tie it. As I knelt down, he leaned back and FELL THROUGH THE WALL!! LOL Everyone gasped but I laughed like I was mad. On Wednesday we went to EPCOT. This was our take it easy day and that is what we did. We did all the rides and took our time. We ate breakfast at the GF Cafe. One thing I thought was cool at EPCOT was the Cool Spot. This is a little section that has free soft drinks from around the world. Each little cup about a sip but it was nice to try things from around the world. NOTE: STAY AWAY FROM THE ITALIAN SOFT DRINKS. AAAAAHHHHH We did the world show case and had a snack at each country. We were suppose to eat lunch at Marakesh but were full from breakfast and snacks. We ate dinner at LE CELLIER. We have eaten here before and this time it was aweful!!! My steak was just OK, my wifes was just ok and my ordered muscles were bad. Our last day Thursday, we went back to MK and rode everything over, except this time we went on Space Mountain which was my son's first time. He was a trooper and loved it. We ate breakfast at Crystal Palace and it was great as usual. My son the trooper was mauled by Pooh Bear. That's right mauled at DW. My son was coming back from the breakfast bar and cut right in front of Pooh Bear while they did the parade. My son feel to the floor and Pooh Bear kicked him and then gasped. Once again one of the most funny things I have ever seen at DW. Everyone was ok and my son got another slice of breakfast pizza. We ate lunch at Casey Jones and ate dinner at Cinderella's castle. The castle used to be my favorite place, after all this is where I purposed years ago. Now it is aweful. To commercial. The food was aweful, small portions, the selection is bad and way to expensive. The show that is suppose to go on is bad and when you look at you receipt, $27 for chicken nuggets. You used to get a lithograph and picture along with you wand and sword. Needless to say this was my last time to the castle. We went bak to the hotel around 6pm and played in the pool. The next morning we left to go back home.
