GF Spa for 10 year old

Just wondering what experience you may have had with the spa and a younger lady using their services. My daughter has been waiting and waiting until she was old enough to experience the spa. I've never been there either, so any information would be great! Thanks.

I'd call them directly. I know most places, here will only "work on" kids very limitedly, like a polish change.

I know the GF spa does have options as long as you are 10 and older. I was just wondering if anyone had experienced this with their daughter. I wondered about how long the wait before was, what spa therapy was chosen, how they enjoyed it, etc. There is a "my first facial" and "my first pedicure/manicure." Just curious what others' experiences were.

We use the Grand Floridian Spa every trip.... facial and massage... I feel like a million bucks when I leave, you can't go wrong.. I am going to try Saratoga Springs in May.

My daughter had the first facial and first manicure done a few years ago and she really enjoyed it. Everytime we go back now, she likes to plan something. On our last trip, she had the spa pedicure done and that was probably her favorite. I think the technicians do a great job with the younger ladies. My daughter mentioned that she was very comfortable and that the tech gave her some pointers about good skin care. The spa itself is very nice. When you enter and check in, you'll receive a bathrobe and slippers and then you're escorted to the lounge where you can change and relax until your appointment. Your daughter should wear whatever she's comfortable with under her bathrobe, even a bathing suit would be fine. The lighting is very low, they usually have candles and soft music in the treatment rooms. After her treatment, she'll be escorted back to the lounge where she should relax and drink plenty of water.

My now 12 year old has done the "minnie spa" package for the past 2 years, she just loves it. It includes a minnie facial, pedicure and manicure. I usually have a pedicure and time it with hers. The facial is her favorite part, they tell her how to take care of her skin, what procucts to use, really great information. It's a great experience.

Thanks everyone. It sounds great. Maybe we'll schedule it our first day. We will be arriving relatively early, but don't want to use a day off of our park hoppers.

We LOVE pampering ourselves while ion Disney. I have 3 experiences with the childrens services. On the first occassion,at GF spa, I did a message for myself and my newphew who was 13 at the time. He loved it. The only 30 minutes of his life I even heard him quiet....he even talks in his sleep(ha,ha!). They do this for minor only if a parent is in the room! So you have to either watch and wait for your turn second OR schedule the 'couples' room and do them simotaneously. The latter is the choice we took and it was very enjoyable.
My second experience was at the AKL spa. It was my two girls and myself and they did us all seperate with no adult supervision neccessary. I have used this facility on many occasions for a message and am lucky enough to get Debbie as my therapist. Well this time Debbie was not there(she's at Saratoga Springs Spa) so we got two other therapist. Fortunetly one of the girls had a Fantastic message and unfortunetly my other child and myself did not.
My third experience was just yesterday!! My daughter myself and her friend (both girls age 13) did the pedicure. The childs pedicure is good but not as long(and not as costly) as the adult version of this service. We were able to all be together and that was a good experience!

My personal opinion: The GF and SSR have the more experienced therapist and will give you the best shot of have superior services. The AK is very convient if your staying there but is sometimes a hit-or-his situation now that the SSR is open. This si just my opinion
