Hello Everyone!
This is my first post on the DISboards, even though I've been reading the boards for several months now. The advice that I have been reading has been great. So, now I'm registered and in need of some help!
We've stayed at the GF many times in the past (over 15 times), and we've always wanted to stay in the main building, but have usually planned our trip too late to get a reservation there. (A CM once told me that the RPC rooms are among the first to book up at WDW.) So, I've been in the lodge buildings (and have had wonderful times there)! Now, I've got my act together well enough in advance to get a room in the RPC for next May.
And here are the questions.
1. I understand that there are two rooms done in the "historic" pattern, which I assume is the original decor of the rooms when the GF first opened. Does anyone know where those rooms are and if they are non-smoking? (For medical reasons, we need a NS room.)
2. Are the concierge deluxe rooms non-smoking or smoking optional? And if they are smoking optional, are they cleaned well enough that the smell of smoke is undetectable?
3. Does anyone know if the RPC rooms that overlook the new pool are smoking or non-smoking and are those rooms noisy because of how close they are to the main lobby?
Thanks for your help!
