GF room recommendation

Going to GF First week in May, Garden View.....Any Ideas which building to request looking not to be on ground level

If you want a second or third floor room, that should be your first request, as opposed to requesting a specific building.

It would help to know which view you booked to best suggest a specific building. To you want to be near the main building, or in a quiet location away from everything? None of the buildings are more than a two or three minute walk from the main building.

For garden view my favorite building is Sago Cay. We had a fantastic view there overlooking the marina. When we stepped out on our balcony and looked left we could see MK, the fireworks, and the EWP.

We also like Sago Cay, but we faced the other direction...toward the monorail and across a strip of lagoon. Very private feeling. It's also very close to Gasparilla grill, so handy for refillable mugs. And there is a path that leads between Sago Cay and the main building (toward the conference center) that will take you to the bus stop without having to trek around and through the main building.

Sago Cay overlooking the marina is beautiful, but you can also check on Boca Chica, high floor, overlooking Narcoossee's. The rooms in this area have a bonus feature of being able to see some of the MK through the trees.

The GF doesn't typically pre-assign rooms, they select from available inventory when you arrive. My suggestion, is to try and get there early (before noon) and and repeat your requests to the check in CM. Chances are your room won't be ready, but you can take care of the pre-check in and have a higher number of rooms to choose from. For an added bonus, ask about a corner room there as well. Some of them have extra floor space and a 2nd balcony with a nice view.

We enjoy Sago Key as well. Our favorite SV at the GF is in Boca Chica. Great view of the quiet pool. Very relaxing.
