I'll be spending 5 nights in October at WDW with my husband, 3-yr old and 1-yr old. I want to stay on the monorail for the convenience of travelling with two kids/stroller, but which resort would you choose?

I like Poly for theming and closer access to Epcot and MK. However, I like the new splash pad (my kids don't swim) and the slightly larger rooms at GF. Price difference is only about $200.

WWYD, Dis-ers? TIA!

My vote is for the Poly! Request Tahiti! It's right near the walk to the TTC! You can hop on the express monorail there to the MK or the monorail to Epcot. It's also near a quiet pool and has a great view of the MK if you get a lagoon view room.

Poly, We like to walk around the GF but prefer poly for stay.

Although we've never stayed at the Poly and always say "next time" we are completely spoiled by the GF and can't seem to stay any where else.

Another vote for Poly! Our favorite longhouse is Fiji. You can request marina view and overlook the marina which is considered garden view. Fiji is about a 30 second walk from the GCH- Great for if it pouring rain and you want to make a quick run for it!!

We stayed at the poly and it was my wifes first time last year. She loved it and has no thoughts about staying at the GF. She likes the theming far above the other options at GF.

Technically the GF is closer to the MK from a monorail standpoint but that's a difference of 2-5 minutes we're talking about.

We stayed in Rapa Nui at the Poly and the room there seemed more spacious than our room at the GF. There are 6 of us including the baby in the pack n play and at GF we barely had room for our stroller in the room.

I would recommend the Poly. We loved being able to walk to the TTC.

Neither. You want Contemporary with kids that age. You need easy access from the MK when your kids get tired and/or have issues and you need to get to the room NOW.

But Poly over GF any day for location if you must choose. GF is nice but Poly has bigger rooms and best monorail access on the property.

We've stayed at both and love both, but the Poly is our favorite of the two. We love the tropical atmosphere, the volcano pool, the beach for watching the fireworks, and Captain Cooks for quick meals/snacks. The rooms between the two resorts are comparable in size, but our Poly room felt a little larger than our GF room. I don't know if it's the furniture and how it's arranged, but our room at the Poly seemed a little more spacious than at the GF. With all of that said, you really can't go wrong with either one as they are both great places to stay. Good luck.

The Contemporary is my first choice then Grand Floridian. You will love the Contemporary with 2 little ones. Oh and Chef Mickey's in The Contemporary is a MUST!! Great Character Dining experience!!!
