GF or Poly?

Ok, here is the thing:

In August, I am going with my Nana to Disney World. We were origianlly planning to stay at the GF, but now I am having second thoughts.

The GF and the Poly are both so nice and pretty in different ways!

I am having a hard time now deciding on a hotel. Please post if you have stayed in either. I appreciate it!

I have stayed at both, and they are both fantastic. You really can't go wrong with either. If I had to pick, I would choose the GF. We stayed in a garden view room this past December. Our view of the hotel gardens and pool was beautiful. The rooms have recently been refurbished, but I believe this is true at the Poly as well. Both resorts are convenient as far as location. The rest is personal preference. The Poly has the lush, tropical theme, while the GF has the Victorian era theme. I found the GF to have more of the "wow" factor, especially since we stayed there over the holidays. Good luck with your decision!

Have you stayed at either resort before? I have stayed at GF numerous times, but wanted to try the Poly this year because I like the whole tropical theme thing.

I haven't stad at the GF but I did spend 3 nights in poly concierge and I loved everythigng about it. I was plesantly surprised how big and clean the rooms were for it being the original hotel. I am thinking of spending Christmas Eve at the GF just because I wanna try it and it is close to the park on Christmas eve and Christmas

Well, I love the Polynesian but I've always wanted to try staying at the GF--especially at Christmas. The grounds are 'classic' and I really love the live music in the lobby (the piano and orchestra). We feel like 'family' at the Poly and the GF we feel like 'royalty'.
