Will they allow my sister into our room at the GF when we are not there. She lives in Florida and is planning to come visit us one night. We'll be in Disney with my Mother and my Mother-in-Law during their birthday's and me and my sister thought it would be neet if she came and decorated the room while we were at MGM for the day.

Has anyone ever done this?

Thanks

I don't see why not... Unless she would be a 6th person in the room sleeping there. The room is paid for and it is per night. You may have anyone you like to your room.

Sorry if I wasn't clear. :confused3

She will not be staying overnight and she is not listed on the reservation. She is just comming to visit and is leaving later that night.

If she tries to check in to get a key while you are not there..no, they won't let her in the room.

If you are alerady staying there on the birthday day, which it sounds like you are, just meet up with her and give her a room key. The other thing you could do it to leave the key and room number sealed in a non-descript envelope with just their name on it at the desk or with the concierge (if there is one.) They could leave the key at the desk when done decorating!

I would ask at the registration desk about the best way to handle this. I would think that you could have her added to the room registration for that one day. Then she would simply stop by the registration desk and pick up her own key. If your room key is encoded with your park tickets, or you might need them yourselves for early addmission, then it might not be feasible to leave one behind for your sister.

The other thing to do would be simply to put a room key in a sealed envelope and leave it at the front desk, telling them that your sister is coming to pick it up, and putting her named on it. Tell her your room number and just write out your instructions on the envelope, and they should be able to get it to her no problem.

Thanks for all your answers but:

1.) The only people on the reservation are Me, my DW, my mother, and my mother-in-law.
2.) We are staying in a lodge tower roon that you can only book for 4 people.
3.) We have purchesed a package with dining so I believe our park Tickets will be on our room keys.
4.) We will be at MGM that day.
5.) Me and my DW were hoping to surprise our mothers by having the room secretly decorated by my sister while we are at MGM.

Will they let my sister into the room if I let them know she is comming or could they issue me an extra room key that I could leave for my sister at the front desk?

Anyone have any experience with this.

Thanks

If your occupany is already full for the room and she is not on your reservation as part of your group and you are not there to personally give her a key, No they will not give her a key to your room.

Your only option is at check in to ask for an additional key without any tickets attached to the key. I am not sure if they will even do this, since now all keys have a name attached to the key, this is why they want to know the name of each guest in the room, regardless of whether you have tickets on the keys or not.

All I can suggest is ask at check in and see what they suggest. See the problem is if they give her a room key and your occupany is 4 and she is the 5 person then she could use this key for access to Extra Magic hours, etc. I know this is not your plan, but this is one reason they are more particular now that everyone including kids have a key with their name on it.

My only other suggestion is to pretend you left something in the room, and leave the Moms with your wife and go meet your sister and let her in the room. Of course she will be a captive as she cant come and go.

I am not sure with your having a Lodge room they will give you another key with a different name on it and having your passes on the others complicates things for you.
