GF Garden View Tea??

It's been years since we've been to WDW, and we used to love having high tea at the Grand Floridian Garden View Tearoom. (This wasn't a character event. Just lovely tea in the afternoon.)
Does this dining opportunity still exist?

Get reservations--just got mine for March 7th, it was hard to get a table for 6 during the five days we are going to be in WDW.

It does and it is wonderful. I've done it a few times most recently in October. What I love is how comfortable it is. By that I mean the first time I went, I was afraid it might be "stuffy". I also was afraid I wouldn't be sure what or how to order the appropriate courses for "high tea". Each server I have had has done a wonderful job of explaining each course, each type of tea and generally making everyone feel comfortable.
I love this event and always look forward to it.

They also sell the tea at the podium if you ask - I highly reccomend
Mad Hatter and Princess Breakfast (for a decaf).

We were there in early Dec. As far as we could tell, either the tea room was seriously understaffed--or we had a very poor server. We finally asked for our bill, paid up and left.

This is such a hidden gem in Disney, my girls and I just love it. We did it the first time last March with my MIL and I have made reservations to do it again in May for just my girls and I on Mother's Day (DH has to find something to do for a couple of hours by himself because he isn't invited ). Make sure you call and make an ADR and have a great time.

Love High Tea at the GF. Don't go if you are truly hungry... the portions are small and expensive. It a nice, relaxing afternoon snack - not a meal. I need to remember to bring some of their tea blends home next time we go.

Must have been that week. We were there that same week. There were plenty of empty tables and seemed to be plenty of servers but service was beyond slow. Definitely leave yourself plenty of time if you go here.

We were actually stuffed. I thought it was very reasonable. I believe the price was $37 for the two of us. I got a pot of tea and my DD8 a pot of delicious hot cocoa. I had 3 finger sandwiches (really 1/2 sandwiches), a tart, a scone, something else (I forget) and a huge bowl of strawberries with cream. I was beyond stuffed when I left there.

We enjoyed this so much in september, that my parents bought some of the tea from there, learned how to make the sandwhiches and clotted cream and tried to recreate it at home. My daughter who is 6 and had eaten in cinderellas castle for dinner after a stop at bbb said that this made her feel like a princess.

I bought the tea as well(mad hatter) and I don't drink tea. It was yummy.

You have to call. THey do seem to fill up early. HOwever, there were tons of cancellations the day I was there and you could very easily have gotten a walk up.
