We can't do Disney on our trip to FL this November, but I do want to give some Disney magic to my DD. My BFF is coming to Orlando to spend some time with us for a girls' vaca so we have ressies for DD's favorite - Prince Charming, Cindy and the stepsisters at 1900 Park Fare.

Just wondering - is there an electric boat parade in November? Plus, where can we be in GF to view Wishes?

Yes, the Electrical Water Pageant takes place nightly. You can see both it and Wishes from the GF boat dock.

what time does the electric water pageant start in November? I know that Wishes is at 9 PM. Right now we have a ressie for dinner for 4:45 as that was all I could get. I'm hoping something a bit later will open up as it gets closer. Since we are not going to the park, it would mean hanging around the hotel for a few hours till Wishes - if the water pageant starts an hour earlier, that would save some downtime.

TIA!

I believe the EWP has same times year round, the parades and fireworks change their times. People have complained about being at GF with both going on at same time.

Wouldn't it be the same at th poly or cr with both going on at same time?

Here is a schedule that was posted on AllEars.net:
Although the pageant generally follows the schedule below, check with the Guest Services Desk at your Magic Kingdom Resort for times during your stay. Inclement weather can cause cancellation of the pageant.

Polynesian Resort -- 9 p.m.
Grand Floridian -- 9:15 p.m.
Wilderness Lodge -- 9:35 p.m.
Fort Wilderness -- 9:45 p.m.
Contemporary Resort -- 10:05 p.m.
Magic Kingdom -- 10:20 p.m. (only during extended MK park
hours)

Note that when the Magic Kingdom Fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m., the Electrical Water Pageant runs about 7-20 minutes later.

When we were there in February, we saw the water pagent travel from the GF, stop and play at the MK around 9:20pm, then travel on to WL. We were staying at the WL and basically followed the parade on our trip to the WL. The MK closed fairly early in February. Wishes was at 8 pm most nights of our trip.

The view from the GF dock is very good and they do pipe in the music.

Wishes seem to typically be at 9:00 pm for the first half of the month and then switches to 10:00 pm (it'll probably be at 9:30 pm when there is a MVMCP). So you'll probably have a fairly good amount of time between when you finish dinner (assuming you're seated on time around 4:45 pm) and when the EWP/Wishes start. You could always look around the GF or take the monorail and explore the other monorail resorts (then you could also watch Wishes/EWP from the Poly beach).

Thanks all! I was able to book 4:45 but will keep checking for something around 6ish. I told DD and she has the Cinderella bridal dress in her closet - got it real cheap at a Dis outlet store a few months back. Its the one princess she still wants to dress up as. BFF used to be a hairdreser so we decided we will do a glam up for her at our condo so she can go all dressed up. Last time we did BBB in MK before she met the Prince who kissed her hand - she literally floated on cloud nine for the rest of the evening.

It's not full Dis but I can't do the park without DH as I can't walk super well all day and BFF is much older and doesnt have the oomphs for it anymore. Not to mention funds were a big concern for this short, but much needed trip. Doing the dinner, seeing Wishes and the EWP (which we have never seen) will be a nice way to incorporate some Disney magic for DD!

We are going the week after Halloween so I dont think the Christmas thing starts just yet, and it looks like Wishes starts at 9. So if we have to kill some time, I'm sure 3 girls will find a way!

Figment - good suggestion about the monorail - thanks!!!

IF you are done with dinner and have a lot of time to kill but have run out of exploring at the GF, try hopping on the monorail and checking out the other resorts on the loop. You can see both the EWP and Wishes from the other resorts on the monorail loop. I spent a few hours exploring and enjoying the Poly by myself not too long ago while my BFF (passholder) took my DD into MK for a few hours before she turned 3. I had plenty of fun there and watching the EWP and Wishes from a lounger on the beach was amazing and relaxing. :beach:
