Has anyone seen/ stayed in both? We've stayed the WL and really liked it. We'll be traveling with our almost three year old next summer and love the idea of being able to close the door to his sleeping area. He is the lightrest sleeper and I don't want to spend the night in the bathroom with my laptop once he goes to bed! :rotfl: But the pricing of WL is a bit higher than GF deluxe rooms, I am sure bc GF doesn't automatically include club level privileges.

Can anyone tell me if the GF deluxe room also has a separate, closed off sitting area/living room like the WL rooms? We'd save about $1000 going with GF but are not sure its the right move. We're not wealthy, but we have saved for his first vacation and want to make sure we're all comfortable and able to enjoy the trip!

I would do a simple search on the internet. You should come across a link where the magic lives which contains a set of pictures for each room category

We haven't stayed in one, but I don't believe the GF deluxe rooms have an area that can be closed off. The rooms are larger than a regular room and have a separate sitting area, but it's still all in one room with no way to close it off. If that is important to you with your little one, you would probably be better off going with the WL deluxe room as that sitting/living area can be closed off from the bedroom. Both are awesome resorts and you can't go wrong with either one, but I think the WL would better suit your wants/needs. Also, CL at the WL is awesome. We've stayed CL at the WL (a regular room, not deluxe) and I will say the food offerings in the lounge are great and the CMs are top notch :thumbsup2. Whether or not that is worth an extra $1,000 to you is something you have to decide; but that, along with a room that can be separated with the little one, is something to think about. Good luck deciding and happy planning :wizard:.

OP is correct, the only Deluxe category rooms that are actually 2 separate rooms are at WL. CR, GF, BWI, YC & BC offer Deluxe rooms but they are just larger rooms with a small sitting area. I believe GF & CR might call these something else as well. You can book a suite that will have 2 rooms but they are ridiculously expensive.

Have you considered a 1BR villa or family suites the values? Both options are cheaper than a suite at a resort, and sometimes the 1BR villas at rack rate are lower than the Deluxe category rooms as well.

We might try a villa at WL too, but the prices weren't out yet. We have family staying in the same area so we want to be at the same hotel as them and the quick transportation to MK will be wonderful!
