GF Couples Massage

I would like to surprise my DF with something romantic. I am going to reserve a carriage ride at Fort Wilderness. I have also made ressies for the top restaurants (CRT, Bistro de Paris, Artist Pointe, Jiko), but I want a little something more. I tried to get a breathless cruise for our last night, but they were already booked (2 days too late). Anyways, since our ceremony is at 6pm, I am thinking of booking a couples massage in the morning. I figure this will be a nice way to relax and connect before the craziness begins. What do you all think? Has anyone done the couples massage?

Edited to add: We are staying at AKL. They have massages that can be done in your room. I wonder if that is as romantic

What is a breathless cruise? Is that the same thing as the Illuminations or the Wishes cruise? Thanks for any info! ~Ev

We did the GF couples massages the day after our wedding. It was very relaxing and we felt like mush afterwards.

The one thing I worried about was a skin reaction to an oil they might use. Not that I've ever had a problem but I didn't want to chance it before the wedding.

The Breathless is a reproduction of a 1930s motorboat. It is available for Illuminations cruises. There is only one of these boats and it seats up to 7 (I believe). I think it looks really fun and romantic for two. I tried to book it, but it was already taken for the days we will be in Disney.

Thanks for the info! I think I saw a picture of this boat in someone's online album. It's white with brown wood trim if I'm thinking of the correct one. ~Ev

weve done the couples massage at gf in the past & we really enjoyed it, it was so relaxing & yes romantic with the candles.

we have a couples treatment set up for the day after the wedding at the mandara spa the dolphin. its actually alittle cheaper than the gf & its a couples suite with a private couples jacuzzi.

either place i would recomment it.

Thanks, twojo21! I made ressies for our couple's massage the morning of our wedding. I am going to order an in-room breakfast to enjoy on the balcony of our room in AKL. We will then head over to the Mandara spa to be pampered. I will then head back to AKL to get ready with my girls. I think it is going to be so nice to have some down time together before the excitement and craziness of the day.
