I'm a little confused about the GF concierge rooms. Besides DH, me and 9-year-old dd, grandma may come along. Until AP rates are posted, I have a standard room...but plan to upgrade to concierge if/when APs come out. My question...I'm not sure whether I want lodge or main blg...and whether a standard concierge or deluxe. I really need 2 queens and a daybed...Which room is larger? What's the difference?

Also...what is the view from the lodge and/or main blg. Is there such a thing as lagoon view concierge...and is this extra?

Thanks!

I think I can help you a little. :)

The main building concierge is much more expensive than Sugar Loaf (lodge concierge). For example, I priced 4 nights last month with an AP discount... it's was $1180 for Sugar Loaf and about $1700-1800 for main building. So that's pretty significant.

I believe that the square footage of the rooms in Sugar Loaf and the rooms in the main building are about the same. Unless you book a deluxe room, they are larger.

In the main building you can't guarantee what your view will be. It could be MK, it could be lagoon toward Poly, it could be of the new pool, or it could be the monorail. You can request a certain view, but no guarantee. Views at Sugar Loaf are either of the courtyard pool or the marina. No lagoon views available. Also the concierge in Sugar Loaf is limited... not full concierge like the main building.

We ended up cancelling our Sugar Loaf reservation and booking lagoon view. We decided that seeing the castle outweighed a few snacks and breakfast items.

I hope I helped. :)

Also, there are tower room in Sugar Loaf which are larger. They have an extra sitting room. The problem is, you can't book them... you can only request. You can however book a tower room in one of the other buildings and be guaranteed. We had one in Sago Cay. It was nice to have the extra space.
