GF CL vs. YC opinions!!

My personal opinion is that CL at the YC is better than Sugar Loaf CL at the GF. We've stayed CL at the YC three times and once at GF, and enjoyed the YC much more. The CMs at both are very good, and the food offerings at both are comparable. The one thing we didn't like about the GF lounge was that they took away all coffee and tea service promptly at 10:00pm, whereas we were always able to get tea and coffee late at night at the YC. Also, we had some serious housekeeping issues at GF - leftover food and drinks in the fridge when we checked in, and one day we returned to the room about 4:30 to find the beds stripped and dirty towels and linens in a bag in the bathroom with no housekeeper in sight, anywhere on our floor. I do have to say that after a call to housekeeping, we had the housekeeping manager at our door within 5 minutes and two housekeepers were there a few minutes later.

Others love Sugar Loaf, but we weren't impressed by what is supposed to be Disney's flagship resort.

Hi everyone! I am going to WDW in a few weeks, we were originally staying at YC but we recently switched to GF sugar loaf CL. We have stayed at both resorts, but never CL. Just looking for some opinions on both resorts! Should we stay at GF or switch back to YC??

We've never stayed at the YC, but have stayed GF SL and I didn't care for it. I don't like how the lounge is located right inside the lobby of the SL building and I think the lounge is too small and there's not enough seating to accommodate all of the people that stay there. I thought the food offerings were plentiful (they are the same as RPC), but the lounge was always chaotic in the morning and it was hard to find a place to sit. These are just my opinions as some love SL, but I would stay in a GV room over SL again.

Both are great!!!! But I love that you have access to the monorail at the Grand Floridian. Either way you will have a great time!!!!
