My search isn't working so please forgive me if this has already been addressed. We are going to stay at the GF in September and my husband is dying to try Krispy Kreme, we don't have any where we live. I have heard that some Disney resorts serve Krispy Kreme. Is the GF one of them?

Don't know if GF has Krispy Kremes, but the donuts are best when they are FRESH.

There IS a Krispy Kreme down on I-192 - if you get onto I-192 around the MK area, you need to go to the left (towards Kissemmee). It will be on your Right, down a little ways.

If you get onto I-192 by coming from DownTown Disney (get onto Hotel Blvd, and take a Right at the Crossroads); this road will take you down to Albertsons Grocery store, and basically ends at I-192. Turn Right, and Krispy Kreme is on your left, down a little ways.

It's across the street from Long Horn Steak house (a GREAT place for FABULOUS steak).

Try to get the donuts from the actual store - they are so much fresher, and are WONDERFUL when they are still warm out of the oven. It's also really cool to see the big machine that makes them - you can watch them make the donuts while you wait or eat your donuts.

Have fun!!!

KKs are served at the Cape May breakfast buffet at the Beach Club resort.

But as someone else said, they are best eaten warm -- right off the conveyor belt. They are good anytime -- but there is nothing (well, almost nothing) that beats a hot KK donut!

Yes! :D They do have KK's at the GF. ;) (or at least they did when we were there last October)

...who thinks KK could make a MINT by opening a franchise at Downtown Disney? Or at Gooding's?

Mmmmm....yum. :p

They stopped selling KK dounuts at all of the WDW resorts now. They still had them at a few of the resorts (POR, AKL) in the Spring, but now stopped carrying them anywhere. I was hoping that this was not true, but was just there a week ago. All gone.

They had Crisco balls, er, Krispy Kremes at the WL when we were there the last week of April. They make me naseous just to look at them.

I wonder why they stopped serving them at the Disney resorts? I hope they come up with an acceptable substitute:mad:

I agree with the other posters. The Krispy Kreme donuts are best when they are hot off the press.

Pray tell, what would be an "acceptable sustitute" for a KK? JMO, there is no substitute -- there is nothing that comes close to a fresh, warm KK donut!

Now as for the comment about Crisco balls -- well, I'm biting my tongue on that one! :p

Growing up in GA we used to challenge each other to eat an entire KK donut without licking your lips/mouth. Of course, I never won.

We have one, count em', one store in our local area - Issaquah. Our Krispy Kreme store broke all previous sales records for the company on the day it opened. People are still lined up in droves. Anyway, to answer your question, Eeyore, I don't think there is an acceptable substitute. Who do we complain to at WDW? Start a petition!

man I want a donut NOW!!!:p

I just returned from a trip and there were Krispy Kremes at Roaring Forks, Chef Mickey's Breakfast and Cape May Cafe Breakfast. I'm sure there are at other places, so the reports of KK demise at WDW so far are incorrect.

Wooo-hooo! Thanks for the great news, Jel0511!!:Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Phew -- no need for the petition drive - YET! Having KK at WDW just adds to the magic for me. I won't mention how it adds to my weight! ;)
