Tell me your thoughts on Geyser Point.
Same here-NEVER seen even one insect there-whatever Pest Control they are using there is working! We love GP and can't recall an insect problem
All personal opinions are welcome. This is your opinion. Clearly from this and many other posts you are very unhappy with recent changes at WL NHaving been asked my personal thoughts on Geyser Point....
GREAT Building - with no purpose whatsoever. Today? It could be demolished - and my dear wife and I would care one whit.
1) PRIME location.
2) GREAT structure.
3) ....all degraded into a Pool Bar.
4) Half of the structure relegated to the failed "Reunion Station".
5) No real Breakfast anymore.
6) No real lunch anymore.
7) SAD Dinner.
This, to us, has got to be one of the BEST architectural achievements at the WL. And probably the GREATEST business failure. It actually lacks any purpose. It's the Hilton of Pool Bars. And that is all this wonderful site, well suited for Fine Dining, ever became.
It's a dump. With stunning architecture.
Just us - WL? SHUT THIS ATROCITY DOWN. Please? Go BACK, and make that LOVELY site into what it should have been, in the first place.... a SIG, very much like Narcoosse's at the GF. You sort of need this, as there is NO SIG dining at the WL, post NOV 2018.
All personal opinion - I'm not necessarily right, no one else is necessarily wrong.
3) ....all degraded into a Pool Bar.
Ditto. This is a wonderful BUILDING - with no current mission in life. GP is a WONDERFUL location - and currently a total failure. When it first opened, GP was excellent--nice casual vibe and you could slip into any available table. As we predicted, however, that didn't last. People would come there to hang out from the pool (understandable and totally predictable), so they wound up having to make changes. Now, although it's really just a bar, it's also a TS, in theory. Meanwhile, the menu has been reduced. Again, when it first opened, not only were there some good dishes for lunch/dinner, but breakfast was quite good, too, and a welcome change from the poor fare being offered at the newly refurbished and disappointing Roaring Fork. Eggs benedict, two ways, were being offered among other items. Loved it! Then, the menu was reduced to just a few items, then to none. Along the way, the main menu at GP also shrank. What they have is fine. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there. As a side note, I too, am one of those who is very disappointed with recent developments at the Lodge. Aside from the "history" of GP above, Artist Point is disappearing as a Signature, leaving no such restaurant at a deluxe resort. . .a deluxe resort with two DVC resorts attached, to boot. As a final blow, it's likely that one of the better bars in the World will also suffer since it will easily serve as a waiting area for all the families wanting to dine with Snow White. So, I ask patience for those of us who have seen their favorite--in our case home--resort undergo changes with which we wholeheartedly disagree and don't look forward to seeing.![]()
One of the best evening drinks and seats we have had at WDW.
