Getty Museum

The only time I've ever been to the Getty Museum was on a bus tour, so I know where the buses park. What time do you recommend getting to the Getty? We'll be going on a weekday in mid-June.

I would get there right when they open @ 10am. If you want to treat yourself to a really nice lunch with great views try The Restaurant. For a relaxed lunch try making reservations for when they 1st open or after 2pm. I found both times that I ate there that it seemed awfully crowded with power lunchers.

You may also want to try the Getty Villa in Malibu. While Getty Museum is a lot larger, Getty Villa is a completely different experience. You will need to make a reservation for a parking spot in advance (admission is free, but you pay for the parking).

The Getty Villas is one of my favorite hidden treasures. I love it, I need to go back it has been a long time.
