Getting water and alcohol to the resort.

We’ve always driven before so I’m used to being able to bring along everything I want, but this time we’re flying. I’ve always brought a case of the bottled water I like because I don’t care for the kinds they sell on property—and it’s cheaper. We also like to bring a couple bottles of our favorite alcohol (this is an adults only trip for us). We’re trying to figure out the best way to get these items to our resort.

Take a town car from the airport instead of the DME so we can make a stop?
Pack the two bottles of alcohol in our checked luggage and forget the case of water?
Send the stuff down UPS or Fed Ex?
Check a second bag with the water and booze?
Have something delivered to the resort? If so, who delivers this kind of stuff?


Please give me your thoughts and suggestions.

I use wegoshop.com and have had excellent service. You place your order and they shop for you. You can order alcohol beer & wine but you must fax them a copy of your id and be present to receive the order.

We usually get water, soda, juice, beer, snacks, fuit, breakfast and sandwich items and its totally worth it. There is a delivery fee but its still cheaper than purchasing the items on site and this way you get the items and brands you like.

We used www.gardengrocer.com and had everything delivered. If you just want a case of water delivered. Costco will do that for a very reasonable price as well. Under the tips board is everything you ever needed to know about costco delivery.

I just ordered a case of water from Costco to be delivered by this Sunday. Total price is $7.80 without a membership.

As for the alcohol, buy a couple of those cardboard wine bottle holders, they sell them at most of the liquor stores, wrap the bottles in bubble wrap, and place them inside the holders in your checked luggage, sealed in a ziplock.
