Called again and still no availability at any of the DVC resorts..we just need the nite of the 1st and the 4th of dec and even though its not till dec i start to panic if everything is not secured for our trip..don't want to stay in Universal but the kids said they would go there..please sprinkle some pixie dust over me quick...marianne

give the waitlist a chance......

some people may be holding december ressies and can keep them until 31 days before ....without loosing the points to the holding account.....

it will all work OUT...

I had no problem getting ressies for that same timeframe last year. I only made my plans in October.

Try not to panic. A lot of families make these ressies with good intentions, then school begins and they realize that missing classes is not going to work out.

I'll be very surprised if you don't get what you need.

You have plenty of time still. We were on the VWL waitlist for our last May trip for several months before anything happened. Then we got nights in dribs and drabs, finally getting the last night we needed a month or so in advance. Be patient. Also, as BCV continues to sell they will have to declare more inventory. I assume you are on the waitlist until 7 days prior to arrival with auto confirm. If not have them change it so they don't take you off the waitlist 30 days out.

have faith - I also think you will get the reservations you want - say what you are waiting for and at what resort - if someone here cancels - maybe they send you a email so you can call member services then

I'll reinforce what everyone has already said - hang in there. I remember when the millenium lottery took place - everyone scrambled to get in....then cancelled. I had people getting reservations in October for the millenium - which was crazy to me because people had been waiting for over a year to get in.
Cancellations happen. Have faith and keep us posted.

Last week I had called to waitlist for the 10th-13th and didn't even end up having to use the waitlist.....rooms kept becoming available as I wanted them (it took 3 separate calls..on the first I was just checking availability and there was none, the second I called to waitlist and got a room, the 3rd was to waitlist for a different room...when that became available too!). So hang in there....and I don't think it hurts to keep calling to check on availability.

We've got room for 2 more on those nights in our 2br....of course, you'd have to sleep with my parents..... I'm sure you'll get what you need! See you there!
