Getting trip insurance

I am really considering purchasing some travel insurance for our next trip. I doubt I will need it, but with parents getting up in age, I think I should consider it this time. What I would insure would be the cost of our room, I am thinking it should run around $1600 and I was thinking about the price of our tickets, which was $1300. With the tickets, what I am concerned about is, what if we were to get to Orlando and after just one or two days and our trip gets interrupted and we are out the rest of the days of our tickets.

I feel as though it is just a matter of time before a need for trip insurance will rear its ugly head on our Disney trips. I have taken it out on both of our cruises, but the trips to the world are just getting so expensive now that I am thinking taking the chance on not getting it is a real gamble. I do know that I will need to purchase it within 2 weeks to get the pre-existing waiver thing though.

Any advice?

I would not buy it through Disney but instead google trip insurance and the second or third non sponsored links is who I use. We are not allowed to post the direct site or I would give you a link.

Oh, I know that. Will probably book through Orbitz anyways.
