Hi,

How hard is it to get to Wilderness Lodge from the MK?

I sort of have my heart set on a TS dinner at Wilderness Lodge on our last night (Sept 15th) at Whispering Pines.

Is it a big trek to get to the Lodge and back again for the Mickey's Halloween treat (also the night of the 15th) which starts at 7pm

If it's do-able, what time would you make dinner reservations for and what time would you leave the MK to get to Whispering Pines?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Actually, it's Whispering Canyon.. ;)

It's a simple direct boat trip from MK to Wilderness Lodge.

If you want to get back to the MK right at 7 (which isn't really necessary, since the party lasts for the better part of the evening), I'd make ADRs for about 5 or so. The boat trip is maybe 10 - 15minutes. Boats run contiunuously, perhaps every 20 minutes. Give yourself some time to explore the Wilderness Lodge if you've never seen it. It's spectacular.

Oooooh, it's IS do-able then!

Your information just made me very happy!

Hell, I'd even go by myself if necessary because we don't have any kind of resort hoping/poking around on our schedule, and this is one resort I'd love to see - it's like Disney's Grand Californian here in Anaheim!

I love big lodges!!!

Thank you!

There is also a bus from the Magic Kingdom - Wilderness Lodge, so you got a second option besides the boat.

Oh, yeah. I forgot! :lmao:

But, y'know, there's something way cool about approaching the WL from the water, disembarking on the dock, and seeing that gorgeous lodge loom up through the trees, walking by the gyser ... yeah!

MightyAlweg, I don't know how much of a time crunch you're in, but I'd take some time if possible just to check out some of the resorts - maybe the three on the monorail, and certainly the Animal Kingdom Lodge. AKL and WL are both absolute jaw-droppers for me.

Fantastic!

A bus or a boat!

We plan on eating one TS dinner meal at Boma the day we visit AK.

We are going to be there Sept 8 - 16th (really the 9th - 15th) and I'd like to visit the Polynesian and the Contemporary and WL

I am so stoked!
